Three SIM with 200MB data

110
Found 22nd Jul 2016
I needed a SIM with data so that I could play Pokemon Go and my family recommended me this SIM, and the best thing about this SIM is that it's absolutely free of charge! Also it gives you 200MB free every month. I tried it out and it gave me a pretty fast internet connection. Definitely would recommend this SIM. All you have to do is go to the link and fill in the form. The SIM will be ordered to your home within a couple of weeks max. EDIT: I don't know why but the link is glitching out. Copy and paste this link> three.co.uk/fre…der. Then fill in the survey and order your SIM. Job done =).

They are marketed as a data product but you can use them for everything else too at the 321 tariff except for two differences. Firstly, they don't have voicemail but more than make up for it by allowing £2 minimum top ups rather than the usual £10. You also get the Feel at Home service so when we went to the US recently I got one for each member of the family and stuck £2 on each one to activate the calls, more than enough for the calls you make when you get split up and sending texts to folks back home. The data was also plenty to fill in when you are in one of the few places that doesn't have free wifi and also for travel updates on the sat nav.

Exactly. That's why this SIM so so amazing.
Which sim i dont see it
you will need to top it up won't you

Only if you want to use the normal phone services or buy extra data, otherwise not a penny to spend.

Nope, and if you want to be even cheaper they accept calls without credit too,
I see the link to the 'free' simcard but can anyone point me to any Three page that mentions the 200mb of free data without the need to topup?
Voted hot my there are some strange people voting cold eh :\
Ordered two last time, one seems to repeatedly ask me to top up now though. Hot for free data
ordered, great for pokemon and ingress

Cool, handy for hols. I'm sticking with giff gaff but this will come in handy the odd time.
erm does this work if i got payg sim?
It's a shame it can only be used in the "Feel at Home" locations.
Which you can use your regular data allowance at anyway.

What?
Is tethering allowed on this card?

From what I can see this looks like a pay as you go sim so unfortunately not
200mb of data would be useless for tethering anyway. I can find the free sim, but I can't see the free data part.

It does say "tablet" though, and I thought that wasn't allowed

AHA!

Mifi, dongle or tablet.

And somewhere else, found that there is a limit of 5 per household, so if you bagged 5 and rotated them, you could do a GB per month
Freedompop also do a 200mb a month free data sim with no strings attached. They're owned by Three so coverage is identical. I've been using it for half a year as a 2nd sim card in my phone and it's great in a pinch. 200mb is plenty for me. I would imagine this sim works in almost the same way, so here have some heat.
Have been using this in my car to connect to the internet as well a tethering my phone. Works well.

Should do.
R.e. using this sim to make calls, is it definitely on the 3.2.1. call charge rate? Any idea how long the credit lays for if you don't use it?
I'm looking at something for my father, he just needs a sim that will work without typing up every month, so that we can get hold of him and, very occasionally he might make the occasional call. I don't really want to mess apps with sim only, monthly contracts and was thinking payg, so this looks handy.

Mine does
Yes mine works without topping up. Handy for when I go on holiday to the States later in the year. Thanks OP, great find.

Have you actually looked at that page? There is absolutely no mention of the free 200mb of free data that I asked about, so why post that link?

Okay, it looks like my firefox browser hops from the given link to three.co.uk/sto…B03 for some reason! Just tried the link in another browser and the page opens with the info there -- thanks.

Just before I order one, I just want to make sure.

I can put this into my phone as a normal sim and just use Internet?

I do not need to pay anything or activate anything with money or a card?

And lastly, I do not have to put in a cc to pay Incase I go over the 200mb limit?

Thnaks!

Excellent, I can put this in my other sim slot in my dual mobile in case I can't get EE coverage any time :-)

Owned by Three? Never knew that, thought they were an American company starting to retail over here? They piggy back on the Three network.
Ideal, thanks very much OP
Thanks OP, will come in handy!;)
How do they know I'm tethering? And how can they block it?
