My previous contract said that 20 pounds would become a 20.54, 24 month contract after a few months. Pay more money next year. Companies that cheat money. Won‘t believe anymore

Raising the price by RPI every year is common practise now and is in the contract you signed. You shouldn't slate a company for enforcing the terms that you happily signed up to.

I grabbed a PAYG sim to test with.

At home, outside in the yard with full bars and 4g+ showing - 0.1 Mbit down.

In the middle of a field, 6 miles from the nearest village, 1 bar 4g - 49.7Mbit

I'm pretty sure they cannot legally keep you in a contract for longer if you don't agree to it if you're also saying the months increased as well?, and three does increase prices of the contract with price inflation, which is probably why your price increased, I believe EE does the same thing also. Nothing new. Also, it's a good thing this is 12 months lol

I have this sim deal and I invested in a 5g router - now, 5g is intermittent in my area; it's so new - when it catches it - I got 150mbs - on 4g we've been getting between 35mb to 60mb, which is an improvement on my previous 4g router but it has to be more consistent, so ill be contacting 3 soon - but its a great deal - works out at £10 a month.

Been with them for 10 years. No longer from Monday. Any where near home and varying other places calls drop so frequently I have to use WhatsApp to call most people.....
Good deal. I see many people complaining about coverage but that doesn't change the fact this is a competitive offering

I'm with three and I get 4G+ speeds all the time at home. At work I get 4G, but it can be sketchy sometimes. At my parents I have to turn on WiFi calling and connect to the WiFi, it is truly horrendous. But to be honest, I have a good workable connection most of the time.
40989543-VDVgh.jpgI just took this test now, and the speed is brilliant. I'm sat downstairs in my living room.

Which router did you go for? I might move up to 5G eventually but it might be a decade till they get round to it!

Huawei 5g CPE Pro - it wasn't cheap - £399 but I got it on Klarna finance - £20 a month for 24months.

I convinced myself that I'd reduced my internet cost so I could invest in improving my hardware.

In this case it’s justified and accurate, 3 network coverage/performance is awful almost wherever and whenever I’ve needed it. I understand they used to be better then this but I can’t wait for September to change!

They can though, it raises with the rate of inflation just like every other network. If you don't like it, don't sign up.

Virgin media the same, after 1 yera I got a letter saying that the bill was passing to 64£, called them and managed to get 2£ cheaper that what I was paying.. Sky is doing the same..

Yes, they put you onto a rolling contract, which basically means that if you don't tell them you want to terminate the contract before the end of 12 months, you'll be put onto another contract (usually which costs more, at least this is the common case with virgin media). I thought here we were talking about companies which forcefully increase the contract length? :s

Anyway, personally from 3 I haven't got any extension or increasing per year.. But every month very small charge for othe costs.. 10p..20p etc
A friend of mine is on three paying £11 monthly for unlimited call text data he said he can't wait until his contract expires so he can leave
He said youtube keeps on buffering
It's very very good value.

I've had a complete nightmare joining three on last deal. They started charging me on 22nd May and I still don't have a working sim. Their customer service is a joke.
Nice first deal @Raj_Rajnicant - thanks for taking the time to post
Hardly decent signal anywhere

I live within 300ft from the antena mast , and any network tried AWSOME.
Using 3 Network for home broadband, and speeds are better than offered by BT, Sky and so on.
Friend lives in different location and his EE, O2, Vodafone are nightmare coverage, while keeping him happy only 3.
Conclusion: Signal is area(location) dependant, so check with pay&go before entering into long contact.
Otherwise, regardless of operator you will be complaining- making yourself into OLD Grumpy man/lady
Love how they still put ( 5G ) or 5G ready in the advertising nonsense.
Friend of mine is in the process of leaving due to poor data coverage. He still has 8 months to go on his contract luckily Three let him go without penalty. He was paying £11 monthly for unlimited everything on a 12 months contract.

My friend is not good at these thing so he asked me to deal with it. I was successful in helping him break away from the contract over chat. It was a long chat and worth it.

So make sure you do your homework before you sign on the dotted line.
Signal very low. At Home mostly none. Can't send txt even. Many phones tested, many places. If there is a good signal 3g is as fast as 4g. 30mbits. Plenty of delay though. 2 digits. Shame.
