Good find. Voted hot. How has been the experience with cashbacks?

Cash back is probably easier to get than actual phone coverage

Very easy to claim from this company. Have a phone contract with them, you submit an online form and you get a confirmation email quickly.
Guys, can this be used for home connection too? I would probably have two PC using the net.

No idea then, but BT works fine round here, EE can be patchy...

I have a similar contract and the amount of data is capped when you use the hotspot, it's 20GB a month for me. This deal might be different.
71 countries with the Go Roam but no Turkey. Looking for a decent Vodafone deal for myself that has Turkey. Heat from me tho

To be fair I struggle pretty much anywhere except the centre of town or a city with Three. It's a shame because they definitely seem to have the best deals, and won't charge extra for 5G, but then maybe that's why.

I live in the country and only struggle with a signal if I'm inside large buildings, especially ones with steel structures, everywhere else is 4-5 bars...

Agreed. I'm doing a lot of miles lately, covering a lot of the UK, big cities, rural areas and so forth and I can honestly say the signal, generally, is p**s-poor! Calls, okay. Data? Forget it! It's 50/50 at best in my experience whether its usable or not...

Speaking to collegues who are in the same boat as me with their travels, O2/Vodafone are the best all-rounders. I've been with 3 for years but I think this year, when my contracts up, I'll be giving them the boot!

I bought a 4G router, put the SIM card in there and it worked flawlessly. Of course it will depend on your signal where you live. Mine fluctuates and sometimes can get up to 30Mbps but at the moment is about 11Mbps.

Vodafone and O2 same masts. Vodafone is good as per my usage in the last couple of years.

3 I feel the network coverage and speeds are slightly inferior to Vodafone. But, wherever you could manage coverage 3 is good and value for money.

The 20GB cap is for roaming countries, in the UK if I remember correctly it's capped at 1TB under its fair use policy but even that is only regulated if they think you're using it for business purposes.
I'm using a '3' unlimited data sim as my main broadband and calls provider in a 4G home wifi router.
I am with 3 and have had no signal for last 48 hours I checked on the 3 network fault finder web page and it states repair within 7 days. I telephoned customer services and they denied there was anything wrong with the service and asked me where I got the information from lol They are having to replace a mast and will have it down as a repair otherwise they would have to refund to a lot of customers. What did surprise me was I have a sim only deal £9 a month unlimited calls n texts and 4gb data
which I barely use as screen to small. Last month I looked at my bill (usually dont) and they had reduced monthly charge to £7 a month, Flamin Heck I coudnt believe it, usually you are having to bargain with them not to put charges up, but they reduced it.
Pure Magic, lol
I'm already on a monthly rolling contract with 3 (I'm paying the same as this for 8gb). I'd like to keep my number, how do I go about changing to this deal but retaining my number? I'm assuming PAC codes don't work when remaining with the same network.
Just a word of warning three network seems to be having massive problems at the minute and it's been going on months rolling out the 5g seems to be causing massive problems I've been with them 6 years and won't be renewing my contract in March it's so bad 1mb on 4g with 3/4 bars
Anyone considering moving to Three and wanting to use data should check their postcode on the Three website for connectivity issues in their area.

I've had almost zero data speeds in both home and work locations, and the office is 60 miles from home. So it's not just my area. Lots of complaints on Twitter of the same problems around the UK.

You're lucky to be getting 1Mbps with 3 or 4 bars, I'm getting 5 bars of signal on my 4G router and regular speed tests are averaging 0.14Mbps on 4g.
I've recently discovered if I change the settings to connect to 3G only my speeds have increased to 10+ Mbps but on 3G I strangely only get a 3 or 4 bar signal

I’m also with three, I live in a rural area, don’t have full signal but can use data perfectly and no issues at all at home and surrounding areas. If I go into a city/busy area I get better signal (full bars) but the data is unusable. I’m guessing it’s volume of people using the network. My wife is Vodafone which works fine everywhere, so I’m looking to swap if I can find a good deal

Given that every phone deal from every different network provider always has the top comment complaining about coverage, what's the point?
No complaints here and never have

1mb, you lucky. Im on 0.37mb....it was unusable yesterday, took ages to load a webpage
You won’t get any signal to be able to use any of this allowance..
What I’ve noticed with three is that if you have a phone compatible with their 4G super voice (volte) service you have much better coverage. Otherwise you don’t have access to their entire 800MHz spectrum. I had great signal until I changed phone to a non compatible one. I’d only consider going back with a super voice compatible one now. Note that doesn’t mean the phone supports volte but that it’s one of three’s compatible phones. You can check on their support site and the coverage map changes dramatically when you pick a compatible phone on their checker.

I've just got this deal on one of my 3 contracts with Three. Coverage is not too bad, but can be problematic in London when making phone calls as it keeps cutting off mid-conversation
I've been with my three for the past 24 months, and jumped on to smarty last month with their £7.50 for 6gb deal when my contract ended.

I'm in the North East and never had a problem with signal or data, just checked with speedcheck and got 65Mbps down and 8.5Mbps up whilst sitting in the house.

But was in London before Christmas and the signal was shocking, couldn't even make a phone call sometimes, so guess it's like most things, what works for you, might not work well for someone else.

Anecdotal; it’s pretty well documented that signal is generally poor on the 3 network. I joined because I (stupidly) ignored what everyone had been saying about the signal and now I’m just trying to warn others. You might be in an area where the signal is good with little contention but those of us who move around will tell you the signal is bad.

Because your original comment was so helpful lol. You’re right people should check signal for places where they usually are. Which is what I did. And it’s great.

Speak to the care or go online.. as u r on monthly contract it should be a quick switch for you to the new plan
Avoid Three. I've had no service for 6 days and no sign of a fix. Third major outage in less than 6 months.
Great deal but Three went downhill in recent with coverage in Belfast even city center Data speed it’s poor outside belfast it’s even worst. They need to seriously invest in network development to sustained Data speed ,coverage , And population. So not reliable

Same
With 3 since 8 years now, there had been an over night upgrade gone wrong in my area, 4g data network was down for two days... So was asked switch to 3g,which was kind of OK, but after the network is up I could see the speed gone up from 60M to 110M. There will be maintenance on all service providers. Subscribe to the one which is having good signal at your home and work place. In general ee and three have same mast.. O2 and Vodafone have same mast.
Just renegotiated my bt sim only they credited my 21 pound per month deal with 110 pounds and free bt sport much better customer service brings it down to 11.83 per month guaranteed no risk of cashback decline
