It doesn't make the effective cost anything .. you're still paying £9 a month but you'll have spent the £50 quid voucher on something else ..
since argos has vacated the town centre store rarely visit the place anymore.
10 years ago id buy one thing a month from Argos on average - in last 5 years iv bought just one kitchen item.

had it been a £50 prepaid debit card would have been brill. £50 from Amazon still good. £50 from Argos -complete dud - may as well have given me a £50 off paintballing or summut daft like that

Also worth mentioning that Three have their other two SIM only January offers on here, namely 12GB for £15 and 30GB for £20...

...not worth mentioning is the fact that I just got the 12GB at £15 from Three directly not two days ago Going to chance trying to cancel or maybe get some compensation on live chat or by phone.

Well , if you buy something you would buy anyway, the effective cost is under 5.
Amazing deal. Thx
Could try and buy a THREE credit voucher with your £50 Argos Gift Card. This can then be used to apply credit to your phone plan. I have don't this for my Virgin contract (does not matter if PAYG or contract, credit is still applied).

I think Topcashback were offering £55 on 12GB plan last weekend.
selling the voucher, you would probably get around £40

going for the 12GB option could bring the price down to around £11.50 a month

Haha good guess
You can get the £9 per month deal via the Three site that includes tethering and Go Binge (Advanced Plan) with the possibility of cash back via Quidco as already posted here.

Nice, unfortunately I ordered in store and apparently when you do that the 14 day cooling period doesn't apply so I'm stuck with it Works out at saving around £4 a month so could be worse, will just not buy my morning coffee one day a month!

Sneaky *******.

Although one downside to this as they will do another credit check so not ideal but £50 is £50.
Just ordered , The Three, hope I get coverage in my area

If you have an iPhone 6 or higher then it should be no problem as their 4G Super Voice makes a big difference. Unfortunately if you have an Android mobile you may suffer (unless it was from Three and on their list) as even if the phone says it supports VoLTE it won't work!
ordered via Argos yesterday £ 9- 4GB plan. received conformation email from a company called compare technology. Today three confirmed the order, but price is £10. called they and they distanced from this. Asked me to contact Argos. there is no confirmation email from Argos, but from a company called Compare Technology and there is no website or contact. Entire thing is very suspicious. the website of this dubious company is comparetechnology.co.uk/

The terms have a contact email. To contact us, please email support@comparetechnology.co.uk

It is slightly disturbing there is a section titled "Do not rely on information on this site"!

I emailed to argos@comapretechnology.co.uk and received reply from it's CEO (Ashley Bailey) assuring that they look into this. Entire thing looks bit dodgy. The company is newly registered with one man show. beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/com…ers
I've got the £10 per month too.
Should the price be adjusted or even worse if it's a one man scam can we expire the deal
£10 a month to, emailed three and had the same reply from three that i should call once it arrives. time will tell, but we have 14 days to cancel

Are you saying that you can actually top up your Three contract with pay as you go vouchers and they’ll put it as a bill credit?

Just had a read as had never heard of VoLTE. It's nothing essential.

I have an android phone with 3 with no issues whatsoever with signal or call qualities etc even though I'm in one of their coverage areas that isn't the best. And am in Scottish Highlands. And the android phones a cheapy Mi A1. I've never even had signal issues on isle of Skye with 3 mobile, but have had signal issues with all other networks tried in certain areas of Scotland. Personally I'm happy with signal and calls.
I want this deal but the problem is the company.
The voucher promotion is nothing to do with Argos or Three they both can wash there hands of it.
Feel at home in the EU is not feel at home, it is mandatory for all telcos to offer free roaming within EU.

12 months later I'm still waiting on my cashback from last years January deal! Despite repeated complaints that never get responded to (Cashback responded but Three never bother).
Can anyone tell me if Three support band 20 for 4g?

Isn't it the phone that does or doesn't support Band 20 - I thought band 20 was what all UK carriers on 4G used hence why it matters if your phone has it?

Edit - after a quick lookup, Three do indeed use Band 20 (800mhz), interestingly, several MVNO's do not;

Asda (no 4G at all)
Freedom Pop
Lebara
Talkmobile (don't even do 4G FFS)
TPO
Virgin

Sure, you could do. You won't get £50 quid back for it though, and even then it would only cover around 5 month's worth of bills.

Worth doing of course if you don't particularly want to spend the £50 quid on anything

I received an email from three saying it was some £10 per month contract so i spoke to both three and argos about the deal, argos basically said it was three who would sort it out and so when i spoke to three they did indeed find the deal and confirmed a £50 argos voucher would be sent to my email after 30 days. That was after i think they tried to automatically switch me to their £10 per month deal which included extras like around the world, binge but no argos voucher etc however i said i was more interested in the voucher than the extras so they looked up my order and confirmed the £50 e voucher would arrive.

Three still has tons more free roaming in other non-mandatory places than any others I've seen. Saved me thousands last trip to the US. 😣
