As an aside, don't pay for AVG. The free version is good enough

Also get Kaspersky free with Barclays. You can get almost any software FREE... versions of software from this site

Where did you see this recommendation pal ? ..just curious .I've been using Essentials and Malwarebytes on two of my PC's (running 8.1) and have no problems but now you're worrying me ...

Its been around a year now, and to back up Microsoft recommendations security essentials is 99% of the time bottom of the heap in any group reviews done, closely foolowed by AVG free.
