So, a Nokia 130 for 0.79p. Great for nights out, festivals and other drunken occasions where your likely to lose it anyway and be glad it wasn't your more posh smart phone. Also good to suprise the children on their birthdays when they thought they were getting an iPhone and is even different enough to use to strike up conversations with girls and grannies who might think you are "Retro" and therefore trendy.

If you don't have an EE account, it looks like costs £10 for a top up (no you cant buy a week top up) and unlocking appears to be free through EE. So, worst case is it might cost you £10.79

£10.00 minimum top-up

Minimum top up £10

When you are on the bus, and someone gets on who looks like a junkie or jakey, and you don't want to judge. Then they pull one of these out, and you know you were right.

Ignoring this deal as I don't want to buy top up (already have a Virgin sim) , does anyone know what the best price for this unlocked is? I have a very very old and tired 3510i that my mum has and refuses to switch to a modern phone but the battery is wearing out and needing charging more regularly and then the charger failed the other day, I know chargers can be replaced, but if a more modern handset like this can be had cheaply (~£10) and is similarly easy to use, I might just get a new phone instead...

Probably this https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/phones/alcatel/20.45x/

£9.99 if you choose the option that says minimum £10 top up. However it is locked to O2. In theory you can get unlock codes from ebay etc.

What a story, what happened next , did you get off the bus , did they get off the bus, did you stay on the bus way after your stop just to used your highly developed judging skills, I hope there's a part two.

What's a jakey?

Cheap enough to leave in the car for emergencies.

Go to Carphone Warehouse (all handsets are unlocked). If you're on O2/EE/Vodafone, you can get an upgrade without buying a topup. Otherwise cheapest Nokia is £4.49+ £10 top up. £5 cashback on PAYG from TopCashback, imutual or Quidco.

"Great for nights out, festivals and other drunken occasions"
What is the obsession of getting drunk? Do people have such sad lives that they cannot enjoy themselves without something affecting their minds?

Great burn phone.

Not as cheaply.

Exactly. Spies and criminals might need to make one call and then ditch the phone before a trace locates them.

Grat phones for working professionals like drug dealers, junkies, terrorists and all the people need to ease their life by being anonymous.

the phone is almost £11 and comes with some free minutes. Why lie about it being throw away?

Cold.Simply for using the term 'throwaway'.

Never been with EE before, but am I right that EE will unlock this phone straight away for free?

I think it's called an anecdote, and it was actually quite amusing.

Bit of a mess cleaning the keys though

Maybe you can spend the £10 credit on Google play store (paying via your mobile), if you dont want to spend it on calls.

it's either a good deal or not a good deal.
you are a moral credit to HUKD.

Needing a new sim I bought an EE sim on auction website for 99p with £5 free credit (just need to text a number to prevent signing up to £1/month plan). That seemed a good deal. This looks a great deal for a simple phone.

If I purchase this essentially for the credit, is there an expiry on adding the £10 to the phone? I'm not planning on burning through the credit too quickly (nor the phone, as per earlier comments!)

An anecdote is a short story (which is what you described it as). Got the sarcasm, just didn't find that funny.

It's not an anecdote and I don't consider it funny, but that's just a matter of opinion, perhaps there should be a new game show where bus man is the host called junkie or not, where they are given items that some people seem to think are connected with people on drugs, this is boring along with the original comment.

Noob qs
I'm new to drug dealing & also a hooker
Does the top up need to be paid every month? Most of my traffic *ahem* is incoming & never at the tradesman I might add

COLD for saying throw away phone!!!! it is a perfectly good phone it makes phone calls and is rechargeable and should last years. The planet is screwed as it is without that mind set
