You'll probably only look at this if you know what it is: The huge deluxe anniversary edition of TTR. It's a steal at £42. I don't think this price will last long somehow.

I thought we were hunting deers! Is it Beatles now as well?

Had a quick look and most other places are £50 plus.

Doubt this will get much heat - Most people here are Monopoly buyers.

Heat from me - the standard version is around £30-£35 - average £31.52

cracking game, only played it last year for the first time, cant believe its ten years old already!

Just bought it - had some bespoke vouchers to help get the price down.

Average price on camelcamelcamel for this game is £59.21

This is the lowest price since May 2012 when it started at £70

Just noticed in one of the comments

If you don't have it already, I'd consider buying this version as it contains all the expansions. If you do have it, and are a big fan, then give your old version away and keep this one.

Makes this an even better bargain

Excellent price!

Great game and very good value for money bearing in mind how often I play this game. One thing that I would say that this is a good introduction version if you want to play with several people, whereas once you know what you are doing some of the other versions, such as Europe, are better if there are just two people playing. Neverthless, if you like boardgames and have not played this, then get it and play it, you will not be disappointed.

The description reads "Main Language: German"

EDIT: Just seen lower down "One multilingual rules booklet in 12 languages (English, French, German, Dutch, Finnish, Spanish, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Polish, Italian and Japanese)"

Great for fans.

Any one new to series should buy europe (amazon.co.uk/Day…ope)

What expansions do you get? I thought there was only the 1910 expansion, which was OK but not worth buying this for, if you had the original game...

Twilight Struggle The Cold War 1945-1989 - just £26.99 - lowest price ever on camelcamelcamel

From one of the Amazon reviews

* Normal US edition cards - bonus for longest route at end - balanced game
* 1910 edition cards - bonus for most routes at end - gives shorter routes, less aggro - for a more civilised game...
* Big Cities edition cards - no bonuses - all routes go through a few big cities, so lots of blocking/aggro! Either win, or lose BIG, and know about it!
* Mega game, use all cards and destinations - both longest and most routes completed bonuses apply - lengthens the game, makes it less predictable

If you don't have it already, I'd consider buying this version as it contains all the expansions. If you do have it, and are a big fan, then give your old version away and keep this one.

Pros:
* This game is enjoyable, even when playing with mixed abilities / ages
* It allows for strategic play
* As fun with two players as with five
* Nicely put together, a real collectors edition
* Contains three expansions
* A lot of replay value

Cons:
* Fairly expensive (though not if you were to buy the expansions separately)

You're right, there is just the 1910 expansion - it's not a reason to buy this version whether you have the original or not. This anniversary version is aimed squarely at people who want to pay a bit more (or a lot more in the case of the 'normal' price) for a deluxe version, whether or not they own the original.

I have TTR Europe. I don't think TTR (America) is different enough to justify getting it but I am tempted by this deluxe one at this price. Worse case scenario it will get most of its price back on ebay, and might even go up in value if they stop printing it. Hmmm, decisions decisions!

That's very good. I paid about £30 (just under, maybe £28) for it last year and thought that was a lucky price hiccup. About half of my games I've got at a decent price thanks to camel.

My best bargain was earlier this year getting Twilight Imperium 3 for £34 from the Book Depository; brand new, just minor box damage. I have yet to play it though. It's big.

Thank you! I bought Ticket to Ride the day before for £52.49 as Flubit cancelled my order for £45. Amazon refunded me the difference though so happy days! This price plus the Bespoke and Mastercard vouchers made a very nice bargain indeed! Really glad Flubit cancelled my order in the end

It is a giant monster in a huge box. I am 'grooming' some friends first with simpler games haha!

Bought loads of games that have been reduced including Pandemic. Will get round to opening them eventually.

The Amazon lightning deals around Black Friday were very good as well.

Register with camelcamelcamel and watch out for the Boxing day Amazon deals.
