Yes, not the cheapest it's ever been but TTR games are unsurprisingly in demand currently and this is cheapest its been for a while as far as I can see. Great game and in my opinion Europe is the better of the standalone TTR games as adds stations to the mix.

7.6 on BGG. NBP is gameslore via ebay.

Ticket to Ride: Europe takes you on a new train adventure across Europe. From Edinburgh to Constantinople and from Lisbon to Moscow, you'll visit great cities of turn-of-the-century Europe. Like the original Ticket to Ride, the game remains elegantly simple, can be learned in 5 minutes, and appeals to both families and experienced gamers. Ticket to Ride: Europe is a complete, new game and does not require the original version.

More than just a new map, Ticket to Ride: Europe features brand new gameplay elements. Tunnels may require you to pay extra cards to build on them, Ferries require locomotive cards in order to claim them, and Stations allow you to sacrifice a few points in order to use an opponents route to connect yours. The game also includes larger format cards and Train Station game pieces.

The overall goal remains the same, collect and play train cards in order to place your pieces on the board, attempting to connect cities on your ticket cards. Points are earned both from placing trains and completing tickets but uncompleted tickets lose you points. The player who has the most points at the end of the game wins.

I have this game and it is a great game for the older family
Brilliant game. Love it
Does it play okay with 2 people?

There's a post on bgg about mitigating luck in 2p games boardgamegeek.com/thread/2197842/mitigating-luck-2-player-game.

I've played normal one 2p and it's fine. This should be similar. If it's purely an accessible 2p game you are after though there might be better options (if you don't already have them).

Edit: forgot to say, definitely better with 4 though!

This is our go to family game, for reference our kids are 7 and 12 and love ticket to ride. Won't matter how hard you try, the kids can and will beat you, which for me is the sign of a great game!

Check out Raptor for a great 2 player game
This is our favourite family board game - we have spent hours on it & various expansions over the last 6 years - highly recommended!

Not allowed on HUKD or I would have posted it. Pretty much zero feedback.
Good spot though

I keep getting caught out by posting unsuitable merchants, sometimes it's hard to tell if the feedback is enough

Thanks, not the cheapest around any more. Playboardgames are 4p cheaper
There's also a retailer I've never heard of for 28.28.
Thanks for letting me know though

No worries! Do you have any recommendations of good games for 2 people? My wife and I are looking at picking up a couple of things but would prefer to start with the easy to pick up and learn stuff.

Depends on what you like but Patchwork is a lovely 2 player game (about making patchwork quilts). It's a bit like Tetris but you can block the other player off with some tactical play.
Jaipur is a quick 2 player card game that I really enjoy and pretty easy to learn.
Lost Cities is a card game that's a bit like 2 player solitaire. Relatively simple but quite addictive.
There are quite a few more complicated ones that work with 2 and scale up with more players.
Some of the cooperative ones work well with 2 as well (pandemic, Forbidden Island).
Wingspan is a lovely game that works with 2 and can scale up. Quite simple mechanics but a fair bit a variability and strategy once you get into it.
Oh my goods! Is dirt cheap and works well at 2-4.
Star Realms is a deck building game that is cheap and fun for 2.
I have hanamikoji which is fantastic, simple to grasp but really tricky once you get into it as you are trying to not give cards away that the others need.
The Mind and Hanabi both work well at 2.

Like I say, it depends one what you like and how experienced with modern board game mechanics you are. I've suggest a few of the simpler ones but there are literally thousands more decent ones out there!

In that case, have a look at boardgamegeek.com and look up some games that I've suggested to see what you think. If there are any you like the look of it will also suggest ones similar.
Then if suggest looking on YouTube or something to see how they actually look being played.
For a complete beginner I'd say patchwork is a good bet.
