300mah battery They should call this the Drone watch, as …300mah battery They should call this the Drone watch, as you're gonna need several recharges to get through the day.

Mine lasts a day and half - two days comfortably to be fair. But don't let my posting facts get in the way of your trolling/moaning.

For everyone else - I would recommend this watch at this price. Really good piece of kit, which does everything i've asked it to so far
I had one (Kickstarter backer) of these. Sent it back now. Battery lasts barely a day (it is a known issue and they suggest to discharge & charge couple of times - didn't work), raise to wake do not work properly, and animations are very slow.

I like these - could ultimately be a good replacement for the pebble watches when (and if ..) they give up the ghost.
Saw "Google Git" and found it funny.
I dont see nfc but with Android Pay, probably safer than using the mobile. Any thoughts?

Relax, why you so butt-hurt? Just because you get no calls and squeak about 2 days, that doesn't mean it's a good recommendation.

For others, go check the reviews on amazon and other places, most say this is akin to wearing a brick on your wrist (and an expensive one at that), but don't let real validated owners reviews get in the way of that eh

Oi! Stop using facts and your personal experience to undermine @thehustler ‘s point.

No Android Pay on this watch unfortunately. Much the same as my HW1 so not really an upgrade for me personally. Water resistance is nice though.

I must admit that I'm kinda looking around for something to replace my PTS when it does give up the ghost, nothings come close so far. 😥

i do agree. i've just got the regular pebble time which is still going strong but it'll be a real pain if it does stop working.

i've read that when they ultimately do switch off all the remaining servers that any downloaded watchfaces will still work, as wlll any apps that don't require cloud access. The notifications should all still work fine as they're local to the watch so it might actually end up lasting a lot longer than you'd think as it'll ultimately come down to the degradation of the battery.
I don't get why so few watches support NFC. I can't imagine it adds much to the cost.

Butt-hurt?
Grow up eh
I'm in the market for a new Android Wear watch as my 360 battery is on it's last legs. I fancy the Huawei Watch 2 Classic Smartwatch as it has NFC for android pay

I'm personally holding out for MWC in February to see what gets announced before I plunk any money down for a new watch
Buy a new £10 battery.

Fitting, by design, is fiddly though.

I still love my pebble time, still such a shame they went under just before releasing the the time 2. Oh well. I'm likely going to go back to the next apple watch. Hopefully they would have come up with a new design. The battery life on series 3 is 2.5 days and it's fast as the pebble. That would do me, but I really need always on display.

I'm keeping an eye out on what else is out there too, whatever is closest to pebble.
These so called smart watches are hit and miss at the moment. With battery capacity it can get it should have only basic functions so it can at least last few days heavy use. One day, half day is absolute no no for busy people. NFC, wifi, gsm, gps etc... why to bother with all this when it can just link with phone and act as vnc. Charging phone every day is pain in the butt, then you have watch to charge too so 2 cables now, imagine travelling etc... So then wireless charging would be a must on all devices... Deal ok, but think will wait till some right people make right product as at the moment they all are just showcase gadgets....
I've got one of these, was also a kickstarter backer. I've been quite impressed with it - battery comfortably lasts a day, i take it off charge at around 8am and don't put it back on charge until 7am the next day, at which point it's usually got over 30% battery remaining, and it takes less than an hour to fully charge. That's with always on display & wifi turned on, and a watch face that displays steps and heart rate (taken every 15mins).

Never noticed it being slow, always seems nice and responsive to me. You can get much nicer looking android wear watches, but you'll pay more for them. Overall i'm happy with mine.

Glad to hear it snap - seems the trolls think I'm lying. It's been a great buy for me and what I want it to be able to do. Kickstarter backer too. I genuinely have no complaints

The always on display is the real deal breaker for me for any potential replacement. I agree about the Time 2 - I was working out how i'd get the money together to get one because it looked amazing and the battery life improvements would have been fantastic and then they went and bloody binned it.

The rebble project seems to be coming along but very. very slowly.

Can you set this to send an email without a phone connection when on WiFi
amazing deal .
BOUGHT 2, one works great but the other developed a screen fault. It would just flash a yellow screen. Happened for no apparent reason. I'm not the only one with this problem - look at Android Authority's review. Seems have poor quality control.

I tried my Apple Watch again, I struggled without always on so maybe it is a deal breaker. What is a must for me is week long battery life. I can't charge it more often that that without it feeling cumbersome. There aren't many watches that do that apart from the pebble unfortunately.

Check these out ..

The Domino DM68 - blatant copy of the first edition pebble, but cheap as chips

gearbest.com/sma…tml

Then there's this, which is said to have an always-on displayn and claims a ridiculous battery life. I don't know if it's bad translation (which is likely) but it claims that with half an hour's use per week, it can last 45 days !

gearbest.com/sma…tml

To be honest, if that second one checks out, i'd probably get it when the pebble finally gives up the ghost.

I think I had a look at the amazfit bip (the second one) in the past and its lcd display and not always on but you may want to confirm that. I may go for the amazfit pace, time for a round watch with always on and I think 5 days battery. From what I read the amazfit app does collect your heart rate so will prob cellotape the hr monitor

Edit

Ok, I'm thinking of another amazfit watch, the bip might be always on trains reflective screen.

The bip is indeed an always-on trans reflective screen. I've watched a review by someone who claims that it lasted him a solid five days on a single charge, but most of the other reviews i've read all claim 6+ weeks of battery life.
Great watch. Looking like 3 days on the battery.
