Brown rice has also been reported to have high levels of inorganic arsenic which is a toxin known to potentially cause liver, lung, kidney, and bladder cancer. Some arsenic is just a naturally occurring mineral, but the inorganic kind comes from chemicals and pesticides

Every rice is brown rice before they polish it by removing outer layer. Basmati and Jasmine rice are good rice, if only they did not remove the outer layer.

Any evidence? its not true of brown rice alone but any rice which comes out of places like Bangladesh where Arsenic is in the soil . All rice is brown rice until its polished. Soaking rice overnight removes arsenic.

Most of the rice in UK does not come from places which soil contains Arsenic.

Ok then, forget the arsenicc,

"Results show that despite higher nutrients contents of brown rice compared to white rice, experimental data does not provide evidence that the brown rice diet is better than the diet based on white rice. Possible antinutritional factors present in brown rice have adverse effects on bioavailability of this cereal nutrients."

If any rice is grown in arsenic fields like in Bangladesh, it gets arsenic. But I have never seen any rice from Bangladesh, even in shops in East London where most population is from Bangladesh.

Bought this rice, absolutely awful. Gave the second bag of rice away. I buy the big bags because I love rice and store it well.
