Missed out on this offer a couple of months ago but looks like it's back.

4kg bags

Had around 15 bags remaining at the Tesco in London - Queensway/Bayswater

Decent price for the 'premium' brand.

I got 7.5kg for £11 last time I was in Tesco, first time I bought Tilda and tbh I am not having much luck with it. I tried the soak for 30mins then open pan 2 parts water 1 part rice and also plenty of water and boil for 10 mins. both times really stodgy

Any tips please.

I use a handful of rice per person in salted boiling water, boil for 11 mins, drain, stand for a couple of minutes. serve.

Far better than soaking it, I now know soaking gives you a good sticky rice though lol

should always soak it and then rinse in a sieve whilst agitating it until the water runs clear.

2 parts BOILING water to 1 part rice, salt & pepper and boil for 5 mins with the lid off and nearly all of the the water has been absorbed. Then leave for 10 mins off the heat with a clean kitchen towel over the pan. Fluff up with a fork gently. Add a knob of butter if you want to indulge yourself

Never fails me.

Stodgy rice is normally caused by not rinsing (too much starch left) or overcooking (10 mins is far too long)
