Advantage of my autism is that everything is always in the same place so I can't loose anything lol.
Voted hot, very good price.

Best tracker on the market. I've been using these from the start. The only down side is the 12 month tile life.
You can actually use them longer, but you risk the chance of the battery dying just as you need it the most. Cheaper one's that can change battery's are not water proof.

These tiles have saved countless arguments. My wife has a habit of leaving her keys anywhere but the key cabinet. We used to spend many a morning turning the house upside down looking for them. BTW saying "where did you leave them last?" does not help!

The tile can play a tune until you find it, show on your phone map screen, or has bars that show stronger(nearby) weaker(further away) etc.

As others have said, other users track your tile, but are unaware. The data just updates your account.
Press the tile and it also rings your phone (when she has lost that!)

£15 for less arguments/stress is money well spent

My experience of these is they are not fit for purpose.
should your belongings be out of Tile's range, you get to enlist the help of the largest lost-and-found network in existence – over 5 million other Tile users.

5 million? yeah right!

It what sense?
I've had a look at these before, they work via Bluetooth, so saying that you can never lose anything such as your car (such as if it's stolen) is lie, you can find the item if you're within Bluetooth range, or if someone else has the app and Bluetooth on it'll trigger the location then.
The batteries are NOT replaceable, so this only lasts for 1 year.

agree so it becomes too expensive a solution.

Nut 2 has a replaceable battery; waiting for it to be delivered to see if it works well enough.

Because the item you've lost needs to be in bluetooth range. I lost some keys. Found them 9 months later in my car.

I can vouch for these as bought last Christmas for all family. There does seem to be enough people with it to report when lost. Downside is battery only lasting a year.

Autism doesn’t stop things from getting stolen though
Any half witted thief who stole your keys would just ditch the Tile Mate I'd imagine. Could be useful for lost keys of course.

Pretty sure they could fairly easily make the battery replaceable and I believe for commerical reasons they have decided not to; this attitude really puts me of spending any money on them at all.

I'm sure you are right. We had a lot of feedback from them before they launched. And this was one of the biggest things they got feedback from us on. I personally wanted a replaceable battery at first.
At the time, they had trouble getting them small/slim enough and still having powerful enough to make the blue-tooth work properly. Making them watertight with a replaceable battery would have made them bigger.

There was also the question of making the business viable. Making cheap battery replaceable tiles wouldn't generate much future income. Cheap Chinese copies would soon follow, and they would have no business.
So the two choices were a monthly subscription, or make the tile disposable.

I prefer the disposable route now. The tile can get a fair bit of abuse and start looking a little worse for wear.
We have three Tiles on the go at any one time. So it works out at less than £4 a month.
The cost of replacing lost car/door keys never mind the stress and lost time searching, plus the peace of mind makes it worth the money.

All very valid points.

I would need 3 so the cost becomes too much. However I would pay more for a well functioning tile with a user replaceable battery or maybe some kind of exchange facility.

I would have thought the software is where you can protect/enhance the ip in the product.

True but the thief is unlikely to stay within range!
