£150 is a ripoff,£100 is dear, but £54 is a bargain I think anyway. My last black ones lasted 8 years btw.

like everything, they are not a patch on how well they used to made 15 years ago

the company has been sold this year so good knows whats going to happen to timberland

I dont think 1/2 a size will make much difference & you can always send them back

Thanks H/Henry.

Have to agree tfish about quality standards slipping, my 1st pair are 20 years old and now beginning to wear out! In NY a few months back and got some for the bargain price of $90 (love Macy's) and they are not as well finished (glue runs, cuts, once piece sole etc) but so comfy to wear. At £54 these are worth a punt even if colour is slightly questionable, BTW still £150 on Timberland UK site!

Hardly any difference between a 9 and a 9.5..... I wear a 10, but sometimes buy a 10.5 if thats all i can get on an offer.
I wouldn't go down 1/2 a size though.

£54 is a good deal for Timberlands..... deffo hot.
Although i prefer Cats myself.

11s went almost immediately after the OPs post. I had in basket and then had a look at a couple of other items, went to check out and told not available from supplier and moved to 'save for later'. Went for 11.5s instead, fingers crossed they fit.

re size, half a size dosnt make much difference I am a 10.5 PERFECT but normally in uk shops i cant find half sizes so iv aways bought 11's not a problem.

re colour, just wack a couple of coats of dark brown polish on iv done this before and it makes em look smart and worn in!

6.5's Left at £60 before code.

Yes, you probably are. I had to send back a pair of Timberlands a year ago because when the website showed them as brown they were in fact so orange they practically glowed in the dark.

I don't think so, but time will tell for a few of us.
