Received this today direct from Amazon as a stop gap phone, was looking for a cheap 5.5" 4G handset with fingerprint sensor so this ticked all the boxes for just £65.99.
Very impressed so far phone feels premium in the hand, nice metal feel round the edges the back cover is plastic but has a nice brushed metal effect. Also a big plus it's dual sim and a separate Slot for a micro sd card.
Screen is nice + bright but not the best resolution only 1280*720p.
Sound is a bit hollow only having 1 speaker on the bottom but I'm not complaining considering the price.
Also comes with a gel case + tempered glass screen protector in the box.
I've run a scan using kaspersky and malware bytes and found no issues.

Main spec -
Android 6.0
5.5" 1280 x 720 Screen
MTK6737 Quad Core Processor
16Gb Rom
1Gb Ram
5Ghz Wifi
Fingerprint Sensor
Dual Sim Slots
Micro SD Slot ( 3 separate slots)
Removable 3000mah battery
5mp Rear/2mp front Camera
Headphone jack.
Amazon rating 4/5 Stars..

Edit - reduced again to £63.99

That's great. Fill your boots, or stockings?

This would make an ideal Christmas present for the Timothy in your life, should you have one.

Yes it's a budget brand phone and yes it's 1gb ram I think we've covered that.. but for £66 I think it's a pretty good phone.

Bit harsh. I found his post useful as I'm interested in buying a £100 smartphone on the UK. Either the deal post or his idea would tick the box.

i am intrigued by leagoo shark as has big battery 6000mah and 6 inch screen. for 130 quid. but reviews said poor gps and battery life not better as inefficient. so just bought a new battery for my trusty note 2 instead to keep it going.

Im gonna say good deal. When posted at £117.99 from China it got hot so extra tenner for a prompt delivery, custom-free + 12 months warranty seems like a good deal. Not an ideal phone judging from the reviews but well worth the money.

leagoo shark GPS spot on, best on any phone or tablet I've had, battery life also brilliant.
the only thing is lts heavy, but that's to be expected.

Looks good but a guy has just updated his review to say the phone doesn't update anymore since November. Thought I better mention it in case anyone misses it.

Just taken this from an amazon review -

"So, after a few days difficulty with Amazon Logistics actually getting this to me, and a few days use of the phone, I feel it is time to jot down some thoughts on it.

Simply put, excellent value for money.

Large clear screen and reasonable battery make this a sizeable and slightly heavier phone than I am used to, but it does feel substantial, it has already taken a couple of couch to floor dives and remained unscathed. The included screen protector and gel case may help in this respect. The fingerprint reader is excellent for a quick unlock. The screen can be live as quickly as I can put my hand in my pocket, grab the phone and start to look at the screen. No tedious swipe up, tap in pin, tap enter. Screen is readable in all light conditions so far, although the supplied screen protector seems very thick and does unsharpen the image a little. Watching downloaded TV shows is smooth, and clear, although the built-in speaker is rather quiet.

Dual sim is excellent too, I have it set to use one for data (thanks work for having unlimited data packages!), and other uses set on an always ask basis depending if I am doing something for work or personal use. The only downside (and this may be user error) is the inability to assign contacts to sims so it could be set to use the work sim for work contacts, personal for personal.

Battery life is reasonable, easily lasts all day with a few games of cards and lots of messaging over both sms and internet.

The most confusing thing is that the charge/usb port is at the top. When plugged in I often pick it up the wrong way round so to speak. I can see the advantage of this if slipped in a pocket with headphones and a battery pack connected, no undue stress on a connector.

Camera is perfectly adequate, I mean who needs a 40 giga-pixel thing for uploading to farcebook, or tweeting pictures of dinner?

It looks smart in the black I purchased, the metallic edging making it look considerably more expensive.

Downsides

Both wi-fi and mobile reception is a little below my previous phone, it does lose signal a little closer to the router, and places I am used to lower levels of phone reception it can lose it entirely.

There is no notification LED on the front when there are calls/messages waiting. This is perhaps the single biggest failing for me personally.

Quiet speaker for media playback.

It is certainly not the Rolls-Royce of phones, it is a Hyundai, cheap, practical, excellent value for money, and some nice little touches that just make it so much better than it should be at this price point. The £65 I paid for this makes it an absolute steal, a no-brainer."

So like I said a pretty good phone for the price, might get another one for the old girl..

This all day long...

I've asked Amazon if dear Timmy's badge is just on the surface of the back cover, or all the way through like a stick of rock.

Cold. 1gb ram, cant watch cbbs. Chinese websites full of better phones, similar price range.

Who wants to deal with Chinese websites that takes weeks to arrive and then charge you import duties + vat. I'd much rather spend £65 at Amazon and it arrives next day.
Show me a similar spec phone with fingerprint reader for cheaper, available next day, I bet you can't?

I've done the no name Chinese phone routine a couple of times. Yes the specs look great and the price is appealing. The experience for me is mixed but the outcome for me is to buy phone that's a hot deal, rather than a low price. I'm typing this on a US$50 ZTE Zmax2. So I'm happy with Chinese... Yes it has some minor niggles but way better than the Doogee experience!

Cold leagoo m5 50 pound is from eu - arrives in days, 2 gig ram fingerprint sensor etc etc beats this phone all day long

What UK support? I've phoned, emailed and had online chats numerous time with Motorola. I only spoke to someone in the UK once and she was just as unhelpful as the overseas staff.

Not here to argue buddy or insult people, I've clearly said at the top I was looking for a cheap 5.5 inch 4g phone with fingerprint sensor.. I only looked at the leagoo breifly after u mentioned it and it just wasn't what I was looking for so that's why I said no comparison, so no need to get shirty lol have a good new year buddy..

Fantastic spec for £66, how anyone vote this cold is beyond me.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could help? I received this phone today but can't seem to get the internet working with my data. It works fine whilst on wifi but no internet through mobile data. I have put the manual access point settings in for my network TPO but I'm not getting a connection at all. Could anyone shed any light on this for me?
