Cheapest it has ever been, I believe. Currently £26.99 for the digital version and it is around £30 on eBay. The game did not have a physical release in Europe, so regardless of where you buy it from it is a US import copy.

  • Four lengthy episodes with outrageous landscapes, dramatic boss battles and secret surprises
  • Two-player cooperative mode to double your barbarian brawn
  • Bonus game mode "vs. The Horde" plus top-secret unlockable game modes
  • Multiple homages to classic 8- and 16-bit action games in each episode
  • Hidden health-power-ups, valuable coins and mysterious diamonds to collect as you try to beat your high scores
  • Manufacturer warranty will not apply

£21.83 in the Norwegian eshop if anyone's interested in tje the digital version.
Probably going to skip on this one at this price but worth noting it should also come with a keychain + manual from what I understand (unless they are Gamestop exclusive)

Thanks OP, have purchased, had been looking at this. Now all we need is a sensible price for physical copy of Wonderboy 3 The Dragons Trap.

Is really disappointing to see so many Switch titles getting US-Japan release only or very limited European stock. This of course is nothing new for Nintendo, has been gone on for years with the Limited Edition themed consoles, accessories, and merchandise. Even with Amiibo (remember the gold Mario amiibo not released here).
I definitely read that as Tiny Barbarian D*cks

That's because European consumers are just into Fifa and COD and those major (that become major due to the consumer demands). This unfortunately has shifted the market towards USA where people are more open to variety. US is getting hell more releases than us and even with those few exclusive titles to Europe, there are smaller companies in US that are re-releasing the ESRB rated version of them...

Will keep an eye for wonder boy. Here’s my copy of wonder boy

To be fair, this is probably less to do with culture and open mindedness and more to do with the business case.

A US release requires one language, and has a large user base. If you get (say) one percent of it to purchase your game, you're looking at a decent return. One percent of the UK user base offers a less compelling return, and if you want to target the whole of Europe, then you need at least a couple more languages!

I would have been more impressed if you had this

What sounds great about the Switch game is not only do you get an old school hand drawn (just like The Snowman films!) remastered update of a game, but you also get the original game mode to, complete with crappy gfx and sounds. So can play through the original style game, and the new version, 2 for price of 1 really)

I think it will be a good investment game and hold its value well so definitely worth a buy at a good price. £39.99 is best I can find for English language at moment.

Sorry I misinterpreted myself. I did not mean the culture and neither mentioned anything about it. I was merely pointing at more or less the same thing as you mentioned and that was the market.

My apologies... I got the wrong impression from the bits where you said "European consumers are just into Fifa and COD" & talked about the USA "where people are more open to variety". That felt like an observation about gaming culture rather than markets, but it sounds like I got the wrong end of the point you were trying to make.

Only issue is I am a Sony fanboy, otherwise I would have had it.

I tagged you on the other post mate, have a look. You won't regret.
Can anyone point me towards other physical Switch games that never got a release in Europe? I like collecting Nintendo games

If only you'd asked the same question for PS4 games.... I will keep an eye to see if I come across any. LRG is planning to release Switch games this year. If they do, the first one they release would be something you surly want to go for.

I missed out on the Retro City Rampage game you posted in Misc last year Really appreciate you posting these though as I wouldn't have known about them otherwise
Little Dew 2+ is another Switch game available through the Amazon Global Store
This kind of game would be £5 at most on Steam. Switch pricing is nuts, although understandable.
Afraid not, not this game, at this moment ... its 22.99 on steam.

store.steampowered.com/app…DX/

but .. i know what you ment via art style etc.

Heat for OP.
Also £26.99 on eshop digital download now too.
My physical game came today. Can't wait to play it, the box looks fab
Looks a wee bit like Rygar meets Rastan meets Ghouls n Ghosts? That would not be a bad thing if that is the case? Anyone else get it and play it?
