Pretty much what it says in the title. This is the cheapest that I've seen one this size and it is supposedly Vista compatible.

No reviews posted about it just yet, so we'll have to wait and see how good it is, but for only £3.11 [current paypal exchange rate] delivered it seems cheap enough for a punt!

I got a similar one from them a few weeks ago & it works fine. It's bundled with Bluesoleil software but you can hack Widcomm to use it.

Bigger pic Good price voted hot.

Bluesoliel is an awful piece of software

There seems to be an endless supply of cheap dongles but be prepared to waste weeks of your life tracking down incomprehensible bits of weird drivers and software before you can get them to actually do anything. I know my hardware can do A2DP but given up expecting to hear any music off it.

I've bought quite a few things from DealExtreme. They may not be not the highest of quality, but always arrive in reasonable time and are always amazing value for money, especially given that postage is included. How they can manage to buy something like this Bluetooth dongle from a wholesaler, market it, process my order and then post it to the UK for 3 quid is beyond me.[/COLOR]

Voted hot! Just ordered one!

Cheers

Yep, exactly what I used it for, now my Bluetooth mouse works perfectly with my eee. BTW, didn't install the bundled software, just let XP pick it up by itself!

Anything to back that up, or is it just a surmise?

I have one of these and they are great. The only thing I would say is if you are getting it for a laptop get the rounded off one as these can snag.

As opposed to what?

The newer versions are streets ahead of the Widcomm, and have been for some time, apart from the short period when there was no Vista compatible version, but even then the XP version was fine.

Nowt wrong with Bluesoleil.

Seeing as DX themselves by stock from different wholesalers, it's a surmise.

Anyone know if this can add BT connectivity to a printer with USB ports?

My guess would be no... I think the USBs on printers are usually there just for direct connection of cameras, card readers etc for direct printing.

No. Your printer needs to be "bluetooth ready" and then in theory you could. HP sells a bluetooth stick that is compatible with a number of its printers, but not all.

]HP dongle Link

Key words in the blurb are "select HP printers", so not all and possibly not just any bluetooth enabled printer, although I suspect this is nothing but a standard bluetooth adaptor.
