Great app for your IP cameras at a good price.
Brilliant CCTV app and served me very well for years!

Heeeeeeaaaattttt!
Would I be able to use my Galaxy S7 edge as the camera in baby's bedroom....and watch the feed on my smart TV downstairs? (Both devices on same Wifi connection).

Cheers
Is this any different to IP Pro since that's a free app and seems to have the same features

No sorry you will need to buy a ip camera. And download this app on your phone and then watch mate .
Great app, very reliable and compatible with many types of NVR & Camera.

Have also used this with a cheap android TV box to replace much more expensive and less capable CCTV NVR's, Hot from me.

not with this app - although it is possible (can't remember the app i used, but you can get an android app to broadcast a stream from your smartphone. Whether you can watch that stream on your TV I don't know though - I used to be able to do something similar with my old phone and a NowTV box though.

The main problem is the camera though - you probably want to be able to check on your little one when it's dark, and no smartphone camera is any use in low light so you won't see anything unless you leave the light on in their bedroom. So there's no point - what you need is a cheap IR-capable IP camera.
Can someone explain how you can use this with a cheap Chinese IP camera when they come with their own software built in?

it can work with most - but you'll need to find out the details of the stream. If you can access the camera via a web page you can usually do this by putting your browser into Developer Mode and hunting for a stream address (something like rtsp:\\\192.168.1.xxx\xxxxx). You may need to go to your router to find out what the device's IP address is as it's not always obvious (and you can't always change it either, especially on cheaper cameras).

If any of this sounds complicated that's because it can be I'm afraid...

^^wot he said. I have a cheapo Xiaomi Small Ants webcam (under £20 most places) which can be hacked to allow rtsp streaming. I have it connected to this app and it works very well.
Thanks OP. Been using the free version for years and don't mind giving the developer some of my Google Play credit for the ad free version. I think they beefed up the ad engine so it was slightly more annoying lately!

It'll likely do ok. Just a guess it would depend on quality of the video and how much reflection etc you can see from the window while viewing the camera stream. There is an option to increase and decrease the motion detection sensitivity.

Will probably give it a go at this price. With Foscam app it only works while the app is actually on and detects well. Soon as the app is closed down it stops motion detecting through glass.

Try see if your camera manufacturer is listed on this page ispyconnect.com/sou…spx key in your login details (if any) and see if you can see the camera stream. try viewing the link provided if you get the video stream from your camera thats the link you will need. You're best installing vlc player on a desktop computer while trying to view the video.

If that fails things can get a little more technical you will need to install a network capture app to find the video stream. You could try Packet Capture (an android app) it will ask to install a certificate just remove this after you're done. To remove it goto settings > security > Trusted credentials > select the users tab top of the screen then remove it.

You could also try Wireshark (wireshark.org/) if you got a desktop computer app for viewing the camera. there is also fiddler telerik.com/dow…ler which you can see windows network traffic for all apps. You could also set it up to view an android devices network traffic. Instructions to set it up to view android network traffic xda-developers.com/net…it/ again remove the proxy settings under wifi once done or you will get a lot of failed web pages etc.

You will get a lot of nonsense web traffic within these network capture apps. Just look for the local IP address and find the one for your camera. You should get a link listed in a similar format that the ispyconnect website lists.

Once you have the camera stream from any of the above methods you will need to follow the tiny cam page for adding camera streams. tinycammonitor.com/cus…tml

Yes it will only work so long the app is running or set to run in the background. Probably not a good idea on a mobile phone maybe use it on an android tv box or old android device you got spare.
