100% Lavandula Angustifolia HISTORY AND TRADITION

The name ‘lavender’ is linked to the Latin ‘lavare’ – to wash; its fresh smell is associated with cleanliness. The Romans brought the plant to England and by the sixteenth century lavender was a common plant in English cottage gardens. It has always been widely cultivated in France. 

In the early 20th century it was lavender oil which caused French perfume chemist Rene Gattefosse to create the term ‘aromatherapy’, after he used it to cure a laboratory burn on his hand.

USE IN AN AROMA SPA DIFFUSER 
Add 6 to 8 drops of essential oils to 100ml of water. Can also be used in an oil burner when mixed with water too 

USE IN A MASSAGE BLEND 
Add 5 drops of essential oil to 10ml of blending oil, such as Jojoba or Sweet Almond 

USE IN A FACIAL TREATMENT BLEND 
Add up to 2 drops of essential oil to 10ml of blending oil and apply to skin in gentle, circular movements 

USE IN A BATH BLEND 
Add 4 to 6 drops of essential oil to 20ml of blending oil & swirl into water
