I bought one of these, good bit of kit for the price, don't forget the oil though... Means you cannot use it straight out of the box

Not best quality, but screwfix replace whenever you break it. In fairness i cut down a medium sized forest before it broke. Cant fault it at this price.

I was just about to ask if anyone had any experience with an electric chainsaw. Didn't think it'd be much kop. Maybe worth a try?

Loads of fun to play with...until

these are ok,
in someways better long term reliability than a petrol chainsaw.
and cheaper.

Wasn't it £34.99 yesterday?

Much better for your average user these days than a petrol saw. Plenty powerful enough, and no fumes.

I have one of the Aldi ones, and my partners son has one of these Screwfix ones. Both have been fantastic and we've cut a metric crapload of wood with them.

Just wat I need :-)

For gods sake get the safety equipment. Ask any paramedic they will tell you exactly what they think of chainsaws. At minimum a hat and goggles and I personally would not use one without the kevlar trousers.

Just bought one for the mother in law. Sort of.

Anyone knows the size of the metal coloured nut that secures the chairsaw & bar to the chainsaw. I've somehow lost mine and would like to replace it with an equivalent. Perhaps a kindly soul happens to have a spare lying around ! Cheers.

Ive got a top notch petrol saw and a friend rang me to tell me he had got one of these electric ones. Must say, I was very impressed. There was nothing it couldnt handle.

I bought the Titan TTB355CHN chainsaw in October 2011 so the guarantee expired 5 months ago. The unit was required for occasional DIY use around the home and garden so I doubt that I've used it for more than a total of 4 hours from new.

Today after 2 minutes cutting there was a flash from the motor housing followed by the smell of burning plastic. Not being able to find a service centre on the internet I phoned the store I'd bought from expecting they would be able to advise me in a positive way. Apparently there is no Titan repair service available and the consensus was that I should 'bin it'.

Even though the product was cheap it turned out to be very poor value.
