They do take their time filtering to the UK, this includes sound or picture upgrades. This though is not in 4K anywhere yet.

With most decent ‘big’ films they tend to filter down quicker than most, this will be no exception. It’s not even been released in 4K anywhere yet but it will do at some point

It probably has been done already when they did the last Blu Ray / 3D transfer but they usually wait till some kind of anniversary or close to the release of a filmmaker / stars film. Maybe when Avatar 2 hits cinemas they’ll do it then?
Unpopular opinion... this film is awful! Heat on price though I guess.

It has, they did a 4k cinema release for the 20th anniversary.

No problem, I think it's well over due the 4K release. But Cameron is a busy man.
