Great prices but where oh where can you get burners?!

out of stocks

Heat and thanks to OP.

Been looking for clearance price HD DVD blank disks since buying a Toshiba Qosmio Laptop with a HD DVD burner, at a bargain price thanks to another Hotukdeal post.

Ordered 30 total cost £14.70 (Paypal) No postage charge, UK Royal Mail (1st Class Standard) selected

Wish I had a HD-DVD burner just for these. Mass storage this cheap is worth a hot vote any day ( even though the usual tools will bleat on about dead format etc )

does this come in its own cabinet like other dinosaurs

Eh?

sure i read somewhere about a new hd-dvd format taking off bigtime in china where they won't pay sony the licence fees for blu ray, is this for their machines?

its stupidly cheap! Problem is who the heck as a hd dvd burner, especially when the format is dead!

They use CBHD.

dead format, pretty useless. Maybe decent frizbees?

these would make excellent backups.

the fact that they are dead means anyone trying to access your backup has to jump through extra hoops to get at your info.

As usual, stupid comments about HD DVD crop up on here, I now own both HD DVD and Blu Ray, and there is no difference in quality video or soundwise between the two, yes HD DVD sadly lost the format war and production has seized , this does not make it a technologically inferior product both support 1080P/24, both support lossless audio, both support and movie studios have utilised the VC-1 codec , in fact it has taken Blu Ray longer to reach a final profile standard whereas HD DVD was a finalised product far earlier on, play both and I would like to see anyone tell the difference in viewing.

Although not legal, these have there uses for backing up Blu Ray to HD DVD for those lucky enough to have burners.

To make that a bit easier for the masses ( yes I know many of you understand it but many don't so get off your horses and go out a bit ) it stands for "China Blue High Definition". It's very similar to HD-DVD and is a conjunction between the DVD Forum ( whom developed and supported HD-DVD) and OMNERC. You can read all about it ]Here

Unlike others i don't care that I know about it and you don't. It's doesn't make me feel superior and I don't mind sharing the knowledge :P
