TK Max don’t have there own brands They buy only clearance and end of line …TK Max don’t have there own brands They buy only clearance and end of line On housewares 3-4 per item per store

"In total we found more than 150 brand names like Frederick Andersen of Copenhagen, Refectory, Kernar, Mark Law were registered as trademarks by TJX Inc, parent company of TK Maxx"

I do like the store thought but usually I look at the names first.
I watched the program but you could see this happening over the years in plain sight. When they first opened about 20+ years ago in Uk it was an amazing place to shop.

Now you’d be lucky if you walk out with anything!
Not sure why there’s so much hate for TK Maxx. I regularly pick up Vivienne Westwood and Ralph Lauren shirts in there for under £50 which is well under RRP. Loake shoes for £80 which is a steal. I once paid £220 for one of the Viv shirts at a different shop so big savings for me.

Years ago you’d walk out with something guaranteed! It was so good that we even used to travel as they usually stock items catered to the demographic.

I’m not saying you won’t find anything but you’d be lucky if you do!

They really should rename it TK TATT.

Off rrp prices, not really of a saving, ❄
Great shop for clothes etc - an extra 10% off already great value is icing on the cake imo. Have some heat
Isn't tkmaxx always upto 80% off why does it say today in the title, it's today, tomorrow and every other day?
nothing great online for me

prices of any decent brand is the same as you can find in a sale elsewhere

all the other things are basically tkmaxx brands like steel & jelly

Couldn't find anything 80% off, most things about a quid off already overpriced tat.

I think their original RRPs are a little inflated. Seems everyone is trying to jump on the back of Amazon Prime day
I remember 15+ years ago getting some bargain burberry jumps in there. Think I paid £20.... How times have changed

With all shops like this and now outlets - you have to be a bit lucky and also know what the stuff really costs - maybe not as good as it was, but still some good stuff now and again.

Some clearance going on in stores so maybe some bargains there

Never understood why printing (someone else's) name on clothing added any value in itself - as for "designer" - that ceased to have any real meaning about 50 years ago, now it's all licenced trademarks.

If you see something you like, and you're prepared to pay the asking price, buy it by all means, but don't kidd yourself that you're doing anything "fly"

Otherwise, today's "Bargain outlet" impulse buy is tomorrow's "charity shop 'shocker' rail"

Same - it's almost obvious that if you don't recognise a brand name then it's more likely to be cheap than expensive. I guessed that a few brands were made by them, I think a few are possibly made by wholesalers to only sell to TK Maxx and other similar stores.

Another thing I overheard a manager discussing in store with a new recruit - they don't buy the stock, it's all on sale-or-return, ie. if it doesn't sell they lose nothing except the rail space.

If that was the case, why would they ever put things into clearance? Surely it’d be better for them to return it rather than sell it for next to nothing.

They have a lot of crap in there but still some incredible bargains at times... particularly home stuff.

Jonathan Adler, Tom Dixon, Ralph Lauren Hay at a fraction of the retail price.

Come again?
I have only been in TK Maxx once so can’t really add value to the comments but what I can say is that I was in TJ Maxx on Sunday in New Jersey and found a lot of Ralph Lauren t-shirts at $10–$11. A real bargain !

Had to change the name in this country to TK so people didn’t get confused with TJ Hughes!! Once you shopped in TJ (TK) Maxx in the states you wouldn’t pay the prices in this country

Love it!!! TK TATT!! Totally agree it’s mostly rubbish now, most labels on the men’s gear are a standard £39.99, for last years and the 10 years before that by the looks of it!!! Bargains now few and far between IMO
Boycott any shop that charges for click and collect. Cold
Bought a men's VIVIENNE WESTWOOD Blue Roll Neck Jumper (XL) for £45, which I thought was a bargain. Most of the rest of the mens stuff wasn't much cop, mind you.

£2 for click and collect was a bit naff, but I literally couldn't find anything else to buy to take my order over £50 for free click and collect. Says it all really.
I love the shop. You have to drop on but I know what brands im looking for and how much you would usually pay. I also like some of the more unusual stuff they have in, but again you have to drop on. Im a bargain hunter and im willing to rummage, I can see why some people wouldnt want to lol
I got an out standing bargain recently on my silver velvet dinning chairs instore at least half of what i was looking at else where.

Purchase something else for it to be over £50 then return it. That’s what I do
In some of the larger stores you certainly need to have patience going through everything. I remember I visited the Purley store a few years back coincidentally on a day where there was a massive clearance sale on. A lot of clothes, I kid you not, were one pence. I saw people had trolly full of clothes all marked up at 1p. Now, was that a one off , I don't know.
Fantastic clothing deals there. If you have the figure of a 12 year old boy that is. And we're not talking Roly from Grange Hill, if you know what I .

Frederick Andersen of Copenhagen i fell for that fake brand, ok i paid £8.99 for some sweat shorts but the rrp was £69 or some crap thought i got a bargain till i could not find any trace of the brand name anywhere online, and then found out by watching the program last year that they do this

Yes correct the poster was after some heat maybe, as you say why put "Today" in title as no deal to be had here it's still the same TODAY

A lot of the men’s clothing are really poor quality and gives Primark a run for their money.
I think items are more heavily reduced in store. The online prices are definitely higher than in my local.
