One of the best films ever!

The book is often used at GCSE, so having the DVD at this price would be a great way to introduce teenagers to the story.

Excellent film.

Is the film any good, I loved the book wouldn't want to watch dvd if it does not due it justice.

This was my set text at GCSE, and i've watched it too. I'd say whilst films never really live up to their original books, this film certainly comes close despite cramming the whole story into 120 mins. Worth buying if it wasn't out of stock!
It's about £5 on amazon if you really want it

This was also used for my GCSE and grabbed myself an A* despite only reading 1/3rd of the book and watching the whole film. Very good

yes,well worth the watch

One of the best movies of a book ever ... amazing how they capture the atmosphere and characters of the time ... and those kids were brilliant.

Classic!

I watched the film a couple of months ago after reading the book a couple of months before that.

Loved the book and would recommend to anyone, but I don't think the film did it justice. Decent performances, but the characters were not nearly as well developed.

Skip the film and go and read the book...
