it’s £18.98 inc fees , they do a 2 course meal for £9.99 so not a massive saving , but you can use it Saturday which you can’t with there standard 2 course offering

I'm surprised to see so many people frustrated with the food quality at Toby. I've been going to Toby every so often for the last couple of years, and I've never felt like I wasn't getting my money's worth in terms of quality. In fact, I think you're getting quite a good deal.

That being said, I have noticed that the quality and portion sizes can vary considerably by location. For that reason, I'll sometimes go out of my way to visit a larger location where the portion sizes are more generous.

I also try to take advantage of the 50% off deals, which bring the price down to around £4 per meal. And with the recent 20% discount on gift cards, you can eat for just over £3! Overall, I think Toby is a great value for the price.

Been to 2 recently and it was just awful. Really awful veg, burnt and inedible and just how thin is the meat nowadays… it was virtually see through.
I think that I will pass.

I last went a few months ago and it was same as before covid, sometimes a bit hit and miss but the meat and potatoes were good and most of the veg was fine.
I've paid £15 in a pub for Sunday roast that was much worse. (edited)

Yeah I mean reading through the comments, in all honesty I have to agree with everyone thats been said, the quality has gone downhill.

A little trick for everyone to get more meat with their carvery on their next visit - specify you only want 1 type of meat (e.g. beef), then say "actually go on I'll try a bit of the gammon.." then finally "hmm actually I've changed my mind entirely, maybe a bit of the turkey as well?"

Before you know it you'll have a plate stacked with meat ready to top up with your favourite selection of burnt veg

I have done that before and they have taken meat off the plate !!

toby used to be ok but has gone down hill a lot. The veg is poor and the amount of meat they serve you isn't enough

Post COVID the quality has dropped noticeably. It's food and it's a healthier alternative to the usual burger and chips type places for similar money, but I can't say as I particularly enjoyed my last visit.

Ok I'm gonna go against the grain here but we have one we go to quite regularly and it's really decent.

Not a lot of toby fans here, it never going to win awards but I quite like it. Especially the mountain of potatoes I somehow end up with

Just a word of warning on wowcher - horrific company if anything goes wrong. Non existent customer support. Have to wait 3 days for a response for them to constantly fob you off with wowcher credit rather than a refund.

Oh, and they also bombard you with 5-6 emails a day spam.

My local brewers is good. We go there for the unlimited breakfast. They have a private playground in the outside area with some pub benches. Nice to go there when it's sunny and relax outside whilst the little one gets some exercise and good choice of food.

Our one is awful. Considering they specialise in carveries. I went to Brewer's fayre carvery for first time last week and it was amazing!

I saw this in the daily deal round up being touted as "Under £19" and, as I totally already knew, it's £18.98

    Don't say it's "under £19" when it's 2p under £19

    It's £19.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk
