Thought they would, thanks for that.

Great price for some classic story's.

Thanks OP. Just got all 4 on Kindle

thanks for sharing.
are there any discounts on audible versions when we buy them from amazon?

Purchased the LotR trilogy but wouldn't read the Hobbit even if it was free - I read half of it many years ago; so slow, so dour, so didn't grip my attention.

Many thanks for this!

Just got all 4. Thanks

Brilliant price for the Farseer trilogy.

I'm the exact opposite - I love the Hobbit and re-read it regularly but the LotR trilogy (in book form) felt so long winded and plodding I've only managed to get through it once.

Just love Robin Hobb and continue to be amazed at the detail she includes in her books. 11/10 for RH alone.

Thanks for posting OP! Great deal. Have some heat!

I can't recommend Robin Hobb highly enough. Brilliant author. Her books are a steal at this price.

Ive always meant to read a Hobb book. Where is best to start?

Assassin's apprentice

I got to meet Robin Hobb at the weekend She is touring in advance of being a guest at the World Fantasy Convention in Brighton - what a lovely lady; she made time to have a word with everyone who was in the l-o-n-g signing queue for her new book

Kyoko

Assassin's apprentice

So basically just from the start? Will do! Think I'll just grab the 3 Farseer books. Cheers.

Kyoko

Assassin's apprentice

There are three lots of books really:
the Farseer series (of which Assassin's Apprentice is the first book in the first trilogy)
the Rain Wilds series (of which Ship of Magic is the first book in the first trilogy)
those two series have some overlap in chronology and impact on each other's worlds
then there are the Soldier Son trilogy and a number of other books both as Robin Hobb and Megan Lindholm

Hope you enjoy whichever you start with

Even though a mountain of books on the kindle and just finishing life of pie from last xmas sale bonanza I went and grabbed all 3 from assassins apprentice.

Great price for the Tolkiens, got the 50th anniversary copy at home but that ain't exactly pocket sized lol.
Just got the LotR 3 and the Hobbit,Hope they reduce the Silmarillion too.
Voted hot ofc, thanks OP.

Farseer and Tawny Man trilogies are some of the best fantasy ever published! Lord of the Rings isn't bad either and should be read by any fantasy fan interested in where much of modern fantasy comes from.

Great find!

Thanks OP got Hobbit, the three LOTR books and 2 Robin Hobb trilogies after the recommendations - all for a tenner. Silly not to really...:3

Thanks OP. Bought the two Hobb trilogies. Looks like I've got a lot of reading ahead of me!

newbie question.
We're getting our son a kindle for christmas. could I buy these now and transfer them on later ?

You will need to open up an Amazon account for your son (if he doesn't already have one). Then you'll need to buy the books on that account. When you set up the Kindle at Xmas you can link it to his Amazon account. The books will then be available on his Kindle.

Hope this helps.

Depends if you want to share books, if so all use the same amazon account works really well if you can manage it between you.

And ordered the robin hobb books (already got lotr/hobbit in real books and audio) never tried them but since everyone is raving

Brilliant, was after the LOTR trilogy! so pleased

Three trilogies and the Hobbit for under a tenner... not bad... not bad at all cheers OP!

Fantastic, I love the Farseer books and have been thinking about getting them on the Kindle but couldn't justify the cost. Very happy camper. Big thanks to the Op!

Amazon is now 3.49 for Hobbit and 3.66 for LotR...?

Yup, those Amazon links are showing as £3+ each now. I'll wait for the next 'special'.

missed the Robin Hobb books
