Wow. Brilliant deal if you can get it at that price.
If anyone could pick one up for me I'd cover postage I would be very greatful! (Sleepless nights!) at that price it's brilliant - not at my local still full price
£30 postage with insurance?
Useless. One of those baby gadgets you simply do not need.

The work amazingly, my son is an amazing sleeper and I have used one since he was 2 to help wake him up! He is now 4 and will not get out of bed until "My sun has come'd up" and he is given permission.

I agree, my son ignores it too.
Agree with Robj1. This has been a godsend for us. Our two boys (3 and 4) don't get up until the sun is up on this clock (we use it every day). It's especially useful for now coming into the summer months and the mornings get brighter - it doesn't matter how bright it is outside, the boys know that unless the sun is up, there's no point getting out of bed.

The important thing as a parent is not to abuse it - if you set it for too much longer after they might normally get up then they will start to ignore it and it will become useless.
Just picked one up in the Telford store (Wellington retail park) priced at £7.50 hoping it will work for my little girl who insists on getting up at 4 every morning! Couldn't see anymore but there is baby and toddler stuff dotted about everywhere.

I had one for my daughter and it was rubbish. Didn't work at all.

Children wake up when they need to, and sleep when they need to. If they get up too early for your liking then adjust their bedtime accordingly.

I think you probably mean that it was not effective rather than it didn't work?
Each child is different so it can work but there is no guarantee. For me it is perfect, my daughter may not always manage to go back to sleep if the sun is not showing on the clock but I know that she will not try and get us up until it is which is a definite win for me!
great find! hope there will be one in my local... as I need it badly now

Well in the sense that it didn't work for the purpose that it was bought yes.

My wife got it but i was sceptical and seemed to be right. I get up with the kids anyway!
Great item - if you're using on children currently not good sleepers then set it for roughly their current wake up time, make sure they understand what it means, and make it a minute or two later every day....ifs he sun's not up, they stay in bed and go back to sleep!
Wish this worked on my boy, but it didn't no matter how hard we tried. Sure it's good for some kids, just not mine unfortunately.

Agree these are excellent if used correctly. I gave 3 kids and none of them will get up before it turns to sun. Without this the little ones have no way to know if it's time to get up or not. Other than call you to check.
We got one at Christmas, but haven't got round to setting it up. Does it have different settings for the weekends, or only one timer that you use for everyday?

Just one setting unfortunately.
I should also say that although it's been brilliant for us the interface to set it isn't very intuitive. My wife still hasn't got the hang of it and we've had it for three years.
Dont do it, these will drive you insane, they are just mental to get the time right on them, i gave up and gave to a relative so they go mad too.
We were debating whether to get one of these as we had an early rising 2 year old for a week or two after his sides came off his cot. A few weeks later and he's getting used to how things work without the help of a timed light bulb.

I have a friend who swears by them though, so it depends on your kid.

This is amazing. It teaches a child (and works on mine) when its appropriate to get up. If they wake and the clock still shows a star, they try to go back to sleep as they know its not time to get up. This is an amazing product.

Then you need to teach him more. No treats, just acknowledgement. if he comes into your room before its sun time, take him back. he will cry for a few times but then realize its what happens.
Used it a couple of times, but not for children who are touchy-feely.

I'm with your wife on this, had for 4 years! Not sure what I'm doing wrong but the sun doesn't come up on its own not even at the time I set.

Spend ages setting it up and I have to change it manually or the kids switch it off at the wall.
Any help appreciated
