Excellent books but do people still really purchase books printed on paper? How 20th century!

Parents should read these books to their children before letting children watch the films. The power of imagination is far more real and stirring than any movie. I wish I'd read the books first!

When Tolkien, from his grave, writes a masterpiece, please let me know.

Until he does, he will remain second rate.

Yes, I personally read books because reading from actual screens drives me crazy, even the kindle style readers are not enjoyable in my opinion.

Reading a proper book is more immense for me and helps me stay with the one book otherwise I find myself jumping from book to book.

I carry a book everywhere with me, no worries about batteries either.

edit: Interesting... I found the reason:

Second - to what? Harry Potter?

When it comes to depth this compares like jumping head first into the ocean vs. dabbling in the local swimming pool. And if you don't like fantasy, then you clicked on the wrong link. Tolkien massively influenced the fantasy genre overall.

THE definitive fantasy adventure being regarded as second rate! I wonder what's regarded as the best from this genre?
