This six-disc box set draws together all six volumes of the Tom and Jerry Classic Collection and is packed with nearly nine hours of cartoon capers from everyone's favourite cat and mouse.
Volume 1
Collecting together the works of each producer, Classic Collection Volume 1 starts with the cartoons of the great Fred Quimby and also includes the Hanna Barbera years 1940-1958. Hollywood legend Quimby is largely regarded as creator of the very best Tom and Jerry episodes. He won seven Academy Awards for various Tom and Jerry shorts and received numerous nominations for his animated works.
Volume 2
Tom and Jerry Classic Collection Volume 2continues with the works of Hollywood legend Fred Quimby, who worked closely with Hanna Barbera and together they set the high standard of animation, music, timing and humour for which Tom and Jerry are renowned. Classic Collection 2 includes the Academy Award-winning cartoon shorts "The Cat Concerto" and "The Little Orphan", the Academy Award-nominated "Dr Jekyll and Mr Mouse" and "Hatch Up Your Troubles", plus 20 other classics.
Volumes 3 and 4
Tom and Jerry Classic Collections 3 and 4 brings together the works of Hollywood legends Fred Quimby, Gene Deitch, Chuck Jones and Hanna Barbera, the dream team who presented the pair at their brawling best and won 7 Academy Awards along the way. Volumes 5 and 6 of the Tom and Jerry collection features 58 cartoons, each packed with yet more crazy cat and mouse antics. As Tom and Jerry collections go, this takes some beating.

Note: The discs without the print of disc numbers are double sided discs.

Good price for a true classic. Not too fussed about the H&B ones but the Fred Quimby ones were/are great
The best box set I own
Good deal... i think some tom wnd jerry episodes are available on amazon video with prime as well as other cartoons.
the ones done by Fred Quimby are the only funny ones, rest are awful.
Not sure if this is exactly the same as the Box Set I bought my niece about 10 (!) years ago, but beware these cartoons are edited and cut to ribbons, as per Amazon reviews. If I knew this beforehand (I only realised after purchasing) I would have been put off buying.

Examples of reviews: amazon.co.uk/gp/…SOO
and

Yes, the reviewer using language like "cultural vandalism" sounds a bit OTT, but, surely as pieces of animation history, a reflection of the times they were made in, it's important they're kept intact.

My niece is nearly 20 but it was the ONLY cartoon that made her pay attention when she was in nappies. She still loves Tom And Jerry

they had them on Amazon video (*not sure if they are still on there) and they was uncut. very badly cut in the UK DVD from things like black face, various depictions of Native Americans and Chinese people etc are the main offenders.
I thought it was the 'Golden Collection' that was censored? This too?

Does a non censored version of this exist?
