With the release of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon® Wildlands in March 2017, Ubisoft Paris successfully rebooted the Ghost Recon formula. An episode was designed from the ground up for a new generation, featuring a massive and visually stunning open world, playable for the first time in solo or online in four-player co-op.

Now, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Breakpoint puts you in the boots of the Ghosts, an Elite US Special Operations Unit stranded behind enemy lines.

This time there is no briefing.

All contact has been lost with Auroa. This archipelago is home to Skell Technology, a high-tech company. You are sent there with your unit for a recon mission, but your helicopters are shot down: Skell Tech has fallen into the wrong hands. The Wolves, a lethal ex–US military unit gone rogue, have taken over the island. Led by your ex- brother-in-arms, Colonel Cole D. Walker, they have reprogrammed Skell’s drones into killing machines and are ready to use them, no matter the casualties.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a military shooter set in a diverse, hostile, and mysterious open world that you can play entirely solo or in four-player co-op. Injured, without support, and hunted down by ex-Ghosts, you must fight to survive while lost in Auroa. Choose the right alliances and decide how to take down your toughest enemy.

Features
  • Discover a mysterious and diverse archipelago.
  • Take down your ex-brother-in-arms.
  • Live the life of a true ghost stranded behind enemy lines.
  • Customize your ghost and experience full freedom of approach.
  • Enjoy a true social experience with new shared progression and best-in-class endgame content.

They have completely transformed the game. It had poor reviews initially. I’ve got The Division 2 and hate the looter aspect on upgrades (and the bullet sponges). Breakpoint used to have this looter upgrade mechanic, but now you can switch it off and just pick up / purchase the weapons you want similar to Wildlands / Far Cry and upgrade as you want which makes the game a more tactical version of these two.
You can also amend many other aspect of the game to make it easier or harder to suit, such as fatigue or heath regeneration.
I got it for £6.50 for PC on the Epic store using the free £10 voucher they give with their free games.
I’m really enjoying it.
Ideally some outposts need to be online co-op as there are so many enemies around, but sometimes you can go alone on these and use stealth.
I got it last month think I've racked up 60 hours defo worth the money now

But different there's 2 modes now
Played it for a while with a mate in coop - held our attention for 50-60 hours. Missions are great (IMO better than the previous game) but the world feels “wrong”. In wildlands the map felt alive with people driving about etc - there’s none of that. There are people, they just stay in certain places. There was so much different from WL that it took us a while to figure it all out. I paid £22 and am more than happy.
