Pre-orders for digital versions of Tom Clancy's The Division are up on the Xbox websites and the cheapest options are from Argentina. Link goes to a general Division page and the links for each edition are lower down the page.

Standard version includes the game for $549 which is roughly £27.35. You also get the Hazmat outfit/kit and beta access.

The Gold Edition including the season pass is also up at $699 which coverts to £34.82. Gold Edition includes the game, season pass, a beta code and the Hazmat and National Guard outfits/kits.

I've updated the prices to reflect the favourable exchange rate.

I got the gold edition for £40 from the Colombian store earlier as I'm already set up to buy from there, quite happy with that price as it's £80 on the UK store!
Heat added for this, they really need to look at the prices on the UK store.

Colombia's the next cheapest, also set up for there myself on Xbox.com, VPN and Revolut.

Great to get a game and pass all-in for the normal cost of a game!

£54.99 and £79.99 are the UK Xbox site prices.

It was only tricky the first time. Easier after that. Anything that's worthwhile, needs a bit of work.

Much easier on my phone than on a PC as well. Here's my quick guide for Colombia, but I hear that you change the server you connect with to Chile when buying from Argentina:

Used Android phone, downloded the 'Unlimited VPN' app from Google Play.
Connected via that to a server in nearby South American country as mentioned above.
Went on foreign Xbox website, ordered the game and paid via Revolut with enough cash transferred into the account to be safe. (Use code MSE when signing up to get a £5 bonus added).
Received confirmation email from MS.

How do you get the extra £5 do you have to deposit £10 first as when i have just registered i didnt get an option?

That's what ChrisUK says and he produced the guide: "Upon sign up, use code MSE for a free £5 (with an initial £10+ top up)."

Nice one. Pre-ordered.

Yeh, once you actually set up a foreign billing address and card its much easier as you can then just add top up to revolut and pay, will get this and PvZ 2.

I only use the VPN and my normal credit card. No need for Revolut.

Arghh man difficult for me. Too much hassle

Sweet, pre order tomo

how long does it take for Microsoft to pend revolut? mines been pending a hour?

Thanks for your help, managed to get it

Days, despite the fact it charged me to confirm the card I went ahead and was able to pay anyway.

Just means you have to wait before your 60p or whatever is refunded back to the revolut card.

I'm struggling, do you mean Unlimited VPN? Or VPN Unlimited? Can't seem to see an app called it.. except thousands "kind of" called it.

Yes, it's actual name is VPN Unlimited. The icon for it is a blue square with what looks like a number 8 that has fallen on its side within it.

Is it possible to use the details set up for Colombia to buy from Argentina?

Haven't tried, but someone in another thread mentioned changing VPN server location to Chile for an Argentinian buy.

Original Poster

This is the VPN Unlimited app I used. It was a free 10 day trial initially but is a cheap option for further days.

Ive done all this and it says try another form of payment, even though its took the 39p.

So what do I do now?

I did try using the VPN server location to Chile for an Argentinian buy.

Do you have to make a new xbox live account or can you use the same one, how does it all work? any help will be appreciated

Same one. There's also a guide in the first post. Personally I wouldn't preorder a ubisoft game, would rather see opinions from a near finished build at the very least but to each their own!

Original Poster

Benmundo: Make sure your browser is closed before starting a VPN.
You must enter an Argentinian address in Xbox.com when paying.
Maybe try another South American VPN location?

tm004e3204: Your present accoount is fine.

Anybody that wants further help on the purchasing method, I would direct you to the thread about this I mentioned in the first comment: hotukdeals.com/mis…463

I'm just posting the deal and am not an expert on buying games from other regions.

VyprVPN is also recommended by others.

Just a quick one: do you have to buy this on ure phone while using the vpn enabled?

That's what I did. Tried on PC first and got the 'wrong payment type' error message in Spanish.

Used my phone with the VPN on and it went through on the first try.

Pre-ordered, piece of **** to do. Thanks guys!

Mines been pending for 6 days so far. I gave up and used a CC. Spoke to Revolut CS who said MS dont support them.

Confirmed works with VyprVPN.

I think the step I had most issues with when using the guide is how to use Revolut - for anyone needing to understand the conversion you just need to have sufficient £ in your account and the conversion is automatic.

I've found that only 3 pieces of key information are needed from e.g. Argentina, pick a random state, a post code and telephone number, all of which are easy to find examples of on Google.

I admit it's a grey area, but if it's not against ToS and clearly works I say why not save £45 on a game here that's £80 (where is the fairness M$?!).

If I could add more heat I would!

Yeah I sorted it I couldn't get it to work on my mac book with a vpn.
But did it on my phone and it worked straight away!

£11.99 for a year... Hmm, are there any free ones do people know?

Ill use it for a couple of games now - but when the free trial is over, it just means ill have to start buying 'x' amount of games to justify the saving.

Vypr that I mentioned is free as it's still in beta.

Hola has a reputation for stealing your bandwidth and being generally dodgy.

I think im now just waiting for the card to be confirmed, because I went through the whole process front to back – using the card – but it said I couldn’t use this payment method for this purchase.

I don’t know if that’s because its unconfirmed – or if I got the VPN thing wrong. I tried Chile and Brazil but neither prospered.

Is it similarly priced anywhere else? If I could make it easier for an extra couple of quid I would.

PS When I input the bogus address (thank you Google Buenos Aires) does this save/overwrite my current Microsoft Account address? Or does it add it to an address book? Or does it completely forget it after purchase?

It saves your CC details depending on region so your UK address is saved to UK region, your Brazil address is saved to your Brazil region etc.

Slightly pricier in Colombia. Use Panama as VPN location. I've bought from there myself (SWBattlefront).
