It seems like HMV have the UK exclusive for this, so the only other way of getting this DVD set would be to import it from the USA, however then you would have this in NTSC format instead of PAL and may need a multiregion DVD player to watch it.

I already have the 6 DVD Classic Collection and think this would make a nice addtion as I used to love the Chuck Jones cartoons back in the day.

REVIEW

hmv exclusive - this item is exclusive to hmv. Available while stocks last.

The classic cartoon chase involving forever frustrated feline Tom and mightily mobile mouse Jerry got spun in new and deliciously inventive way when animation legend Chuck Jones set up shot at the team's home studio and produced the 34 wonderful shorts in this Collection.

Tom got furrier cheeks and thicker eyebrows, Jerry got larger eyes and ears and a more sweet natured expression, but Jones and his collaborators put them through their hilarious misadventure with renewed personality and style and also cleverly parodied pop culture as well.

Here are the covers in detail for the USA version which is identical to this UK version.

Gotta be the Fred Quimby era for me. Didn't like the Chuck Jones ones.

That is a good price, but it would cost me at least £5 in petrol and parking charges if I was to go in to town to pick this up instore, easier and cheaper through the HMV site for me.

And you're never in town for anything else?

To be honest I never go, most shops I go to are either in out-of-town retail parks on the way to/from work or I order online, a lot easier and less stressfull. Last time I actually went in to the city centre must of been 12 years ago or longer.

Just picked up a copy instore at Asda for £3 - what a deal

Are you sure it's the same one...? as HMV have the exclusive rights to sell this in the UK, no other retailer has it, if they do then they are usually import Region 1 copies from the USA.

Surprised me to see it in there too after seeing it on HMV listed as exclusive, but it's got the same cover and it's 2 discs - so I'm happy with it for £3

That's a good bargain then, well done. (don't tell HMV though, lol.)
