why is this attracting negative feedback? this is a top of the range sat nav. I doubt you'd get it cheaper elsewhere. isn't the feedback for the deal not the item?

Free trafic for life, free camera for life, free maps, free 3g roaming. This device can save you £££

not bad. though I picked up an ex display TomTom go600eu for £1 other week.

Fair price, everyone seems to vote ALL Tom Tom deals cold..

Playing devil's advocate there's no way I'd spend £200 for something that my phone does just as well, if not better, already. That's why it's cold, it's probably not a bad deal but if no-one can see a point in buying it it's not going to get hot.

bought a tomtom 510 through tesco a few months back with £50 discount from them and tomtom were giving an £30 extra discount so all in all £99. Voting this as cold

Unless you can find a Tom Tom 6100 cheaper vote hot or don't vote at all.

So all gps companies should be out of business then right?....

Im not sure if this is a joke?? but saying "I bought a significantly inferior product for less money, therefore this is a bad deal" Is about as idiotic as it gets. This is a far superior device and well worth paying the extra for. hot!

you vote for the deal, not if you like the product. how can this DEAL be cold? I'd like to know where it can be bought cheaper

The simple answer is you can't !!
Peasant voters are rife !!
If it's not a 1 off goose chase it gets the cold click.

No, not at all, as there people who don't have smart phones or want a GPS for a works vehicle. However, there is probably a majority of people who have either a smartphone or factory fit satnav in their cars for whom this deal will be "cold" as they'd stand to gain little from it.

So you're saying idiots are voting cold on every sat nav because they basically have one already (on phone).
I have been using hot and cold voting wrong all this time (based on price).
Silly me

What an absolutely stupid comment. This isnt a review site to vote on what products you like or dont like, its a DEAL site. You vote if the post is a good DEAL ie it cant be bought cheaper elsewhere, not because you dont like it ffs

I have a smartphone but I want a Tomtom because of two reasons.

1. I drive long distances every working day, even with in-car charging my phone battery dies mainly due to the display on during driving (my preference), GPS running, traffic data incoming, playing podcasts/streaming music and bluetooth phone calls.

2. Side-by-side with my old device, I have found the Tomtom traffic data overall better than Google. That's my opinion, maybe other traffic systems are better in other areas.

A separate dedicated device works for me!

Yes I agree, Im a professional courier and Im on the road all day/night so I need a good satnav. A mobile phone will maybe suffice for the occasional use, but not for constant use.
Like I said earlier, the voting system is for how good the deal is, not what you think of the item.

Couldn't agree more. Well said. Smart phones are a great all in one compromise, i wouldn't be without mine, but i still like a stand-alone sat-nav, camera and computer. Although technically the smart phone could replace all 3 but why compromise.
