Apparently you can use a modern smartphone to display directions from the internet and so no longer need to print out pages first!

I agree; I still keep one just in case the signal doesn’t come on mobile phone when travelling through remote areas.

I think it’s a good deal. For this price you are getting Europe maps and free map updates.
Great first post btw. Keep them coming!

You can download maps for offline use...if you aren't getting a GPS signal on your phone you won't be getting it on a tom tom either.

I rather have a tom tom than my phone so i dont have Google or other spying company's knowing where i have been every second of my life
These are obsolete. If you're going to get a TomTom, it absolutely has to have Live Traffic as that's the stand out feature, what with the ever congested roads in the UK...... with lifetime traffic, lifetime map and speed camera updates on the Live models, not sure why anyone would want one of these unless you're happy to regularly sit in traffic that could have been avoided. I've been using a TomTom with Live Traffic for the past few years and it's saved me countless hours via rerouting. You don't even need to set a destination and can simply and easily use the visual data to avoid congested routes. I can leave for work a few minutes later than nomal, knowing I'll easily avoid traffic hotspots and I get home earlier as well, saving me commute time on a daily basis...... can't recommend it highly enough!!
