Developed by Crystal Dynamics and Nixxes Software, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration has utilized the PlayStation 4 Pro's additional horsepower to bring a wide range of graphical enhancements. These features heighten the experience and further immerse players in Lara's first Tomb Raiding expedition. 4K Resolution Mode renders gameplay at stunning 4K resolution at 30 frames-per-second. The increased resolution offers much more detail, which benefits textures, silhouettes, FX and specular highlights.

Release date: 11 October 2016.

  • Suitable for the PS4.
  • This game is classified as certificate 18. It contains content unsuitable for persons under 18 years old. It is illegal to supply it to anyone under that age. DO NOT attempt to purchase the item if you are under 18.
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is fully compatible with PlayStation 4 Pro and offers three modes to customize your gaming experience: 4K Resolution for unprecedented fidelity, High Framerate for even smoother gameplay, or Enriched Visuals for the lushest and most realistic graphics possible. High Frame-rate Mode supports up to 60 fps at 1080p resolution. This mode offers smoother and more fluid animation while exploring and even tighter control during combat.
  • Displacement Maps and Tessellation: This greatly improves the detail of rough surfaces in the ground, rocks, and bricks. Silhouettes and surface features are geometrically-represented when viewed up close, making the surfaces feel even more tangible and realistic. Anisotropic Filtering: The graphics power allows anisotropic filtering across all surfaces, so when viewed from an angle, the quality of the textures in the distance are greatly enriched.
  • Nominated for over 85 Best Of awards, Rise of the Tomb Raider: It includes the new Blood Ties single player story chapter, Lara's Nightmare zombie combat, new Co-op Endurance gameplay, PSVR support for Blood Ties , Extreme Survivor difficulty for the main campaign, 20 Year Celebration outfit and gun, 5 classic Lara skins and all previously released Downloadable Content.
  • For ages 18 years and over.
  • EAN: 5021290074767.

Amazing game just a shame about the crashing every 5-10 minutes when running 4k mode on ps4 pro which still hasn't been fixed

Crashing issue true?
FFS just spent £22 on this. Great game though - I'm actually enjoying it more than I did Uncharted 4.
Is this not the same as the psn offer which is £4.99 downloaded?

The £4.99 price is the definitive edition which is a much older game

There was one which came with a book separately.

Ah cool, thanks, so which would you recommend I play first? I’ve literally not played tomb raider for years but quite fancy getting back in to it..
Good price, I borrowed my brothers account recently to play this.
I much prefer Uncharted 4 over this.

Gameplay was alright, story wasn't that strong, few good excitement/heart racing moments but found the game to be forgettable sadly.
Reserved for collection,heat added
Brilliant game, took all the good bits of the first reboot and put some proper Tomb Raider puzzles in as well. The VR bits in Croft Manor are fun too, being stood in that famous main hall and being able to look around is quite something.

This is the one I purchased from Argos last year, it's a sleeved cd case which is the art book, not sure about any other type.

This is the sequel to the PS3 version just called Tomb Raider. The PS4 got a remastered version of that (definitive) now going for 4.99. Rise of The Tomb Raider was an Xbox One exclusive for a while then got wider release. This 20th Anniversary edition has all the DLC. I bought the download version last year so cannot comment on 'feelies'

Sorry didn't directly answer your question. It makes sense to play in order but there isn't any plot carry over. Just a few people's names etc. The DLC in ROTR mentions the first game a bit.. It might bit a bit spoilery... Just items collected shown again that kind of thing.

I'm tempted to play the Definitive version as I played the 'original' on PS3 at 4.99

I’m not sure as the tomb raider definitive edition is in a massive game back log pile like many others and I don’t yet own this edition posted on this thread

Had the same problem. Waited for months for a patch but they never fixed it. Got a refund in the end.

Crashing issue true?

True. I think it only happens on ps4 pro while playing in 4K

Play the other one 1st. At £4.99 its a no brainer. Better game than the 2nd.
Just picked this up from Argos. It's the standard plastic case version, not the Limited Edition Artwork Case version.
I played this first time on Xbox1 and it was just beautiful, graphics, story everything is amazing. Lucky that PS4 get 4k version thats cool
Does it come with artbook from Argos as that's the one I want
