thats quite expensive, the pumps are £10 at tesco and amazon, plus you get 6 bottles for £10 aswell, = £20 plus more bottles.

Not really as the extras are worth at least £10 and if you're Breastfeeding you'd probably be better off with the pads (£3), pots (£4), and just the three bottles at (£6.99 currently on offer in Home Bargains too) as I've never needed six bottles when in the early days of feeding. So it's actually cheaper.

I was umming and arring about this one i thought mmm do I really need this?.... But then I checked and realised that I have no boobs. So not going to bother. Its hard being a bloke sometimes

Voting cold here for several reasons.

I did buy the Tommee Tippee manual breastpump when I had my first child and it was useless, cost £9 and I am sure you can get them around same price now, and I dont think the other things in the set are worth another £10.

The items in this 'breastfeeding kit' are not essentials for breastfeeding

I had this kit for my last child it is good I had no problems using it and would recommend it

Hot!

So, maybe for YOU they ARE essentials, but my point is that you dont really need any equipment to breastfeed, apart from the obvious.

I didn't rate this breast pump at all. I used Tommee tippee bottles but bought an avent breast pump. The steriliser box however is fab. £20 is a good price if you find the breast pump of use.

i'm with Ellie on this one. These are essentials for feeding expressed breast milk. For breastfeeding all you need are some lactating breasts and a baby.

SOOOO who would buy three bottles at £6.99 when you can get six at £10 delivered????? you'll need them later to make up feeds anyways, specially if you sterilise once every 24 hours. i will not sterilise more then what i need to! its a waste of electric. specially for them steam sterilisers. i saw the kit in HB this morning, its not worth £20, although the electric breast pump next to it is definatly worth £60 next to it

The manners on this thread astound me. Enough said.

The breast pads are rubbish and prone to leakage and the pump is ineffective and would be better to hand-express.

TBH a breastfeeding kit to me would include some muslins, nipple cream, good quality breastpads, biscuits and a thermos mug.

You do realise that one can breastfeed without ever needing to make up a bottle of formula?

I found this whole set use full well worth the money x

Probably decent if you intend on pumping but I found the pump too much hard work, electric one is much better

Blimey, thought all you needed as a breastfeeding kit was a breast and a baby! oO

If your going to express regularly then save yourself the bother and get an electric one. Manual ones take ages and hurt your wrists!
