I still don't understand why new mums get this drummed into them. You dont need a steriliser , i brought up 3 children, you only need to wash bottles properly in soapy water and rinse. Babies need to get used to our bacteria sooner or later. It was a doctor who told me this when i had my firstborn and i wouldn t change a thing!

Yea in the 1800's that's probably acceptable.
I'd rather sterilise bottles thanks.... any gp that recommends you don't sterilise bottles needs striking off.
If you're not in rush, there are times that you can get complete set (which has more things in it) for only £60 (went down as low as £50 two years ago) on amazon or asda and probably other shops as well. More stuff but cheaper. If you can wait, it'll be worth it. Not voting either way.

I got the complete set in Asda recently for £60, I'm not due until October so it hasn't been used yet but it looks great! Also a similar price at Tommee Tippee stalls at baby shows.
