Good price, paid £35 last month from Amazon (should note that you also have to buy the TomTom app for circa £50 too in order to get the Stan nav functionality )

But you still need to pay £50 for the tomtom app. While the gps chip built into the iPhone isn't brill, it still works.
Does anyone know if copilot can use this dock?

does it work with 4th gen ipod touch?

Wow, cracking price, ordered one for my dad for Fathers day, he can get rid of his old tom-tom now and use his touch instead.

Or why not use a free app such as Navfree or Co-Pilot?

Has it been confirmed that they will interface with the TomTom GPS chip in the mount? If so that'd save me the money I haven't spent yet on the app!

I found info on Apple Forum but damned if I can find it again - but it is in here (somewhere). I have thought found the link to the free Vavfree (and put link in post above)

EDIT: There's also Skobbler and xGPS

whats to stop you using this on the iphone?

Great price; pity it's for iTouch only. The iPhone one is £99 and no discount, shame.

Voted Hot.

I'm confused - I've got an iphone and it's got GPS built in - unlike the ipod touch. Perhaps I'm wrong?

You can get iPhone cradles for like a tenner.

Not being funny, I just saw one of these go for £51.60 on ebay. And there is another not even finished yet already higher.

firstly theres no such thing as an iTouch. whomever it was that started calling it that - its an iPod touch.

I believe TomTom said that whilst the GPS in the iPhone is ok, this GPS system is more accurate which is why they released it. Also I guess it charges the phone which is always useful. I don't know if there is significant difference from using the internal to this external GPS in terms of accuracy when driving. And as has been said, you still need the app.

Where do you actually go to buy this? The link goes to tomtom but no option to buy there?

Why is the ipod touch version £30 on amazon, whereas the iphone one is £70?
