TomTom GO 5100 5 inch Sat Nav with World Maps (Sim Card and Unlimited Data Included) - Black

£199.99, plus an additional £50 cashback from TomTom !!!

tomtom-promotions.com/cas…GB/

RRP is £270, so this looks to be a very good price for those who still want a dedicated Sat Nav.

Has to be one of the best on the market, and includes lifetime traffic, speed cameras and map updates.

Really good price. I paid 159 on prime day but no cashback from Tom Tom.

Will the sim card and unlimited data be use worldwide?

can I ask, why are people still paying big money for sat nav's when everyone has a 5"+ phone with Google maps? never had a problem with them, and it's so much easier to use

Does the cash back promotion work with any satnav say go 510 or is it this particular model

Urm, everybody?? I have a 4" 5s that I'm perfectly happy with. Also, a number of reasons you would use a dedicated satnav, including; anti-glare screen, no data charges or roaming charges, easy clear to use interface, much quicker searching for POI and changing routes en-route etc etc etc.

For those that have this can you tell me what it's like at night? I have an old Start 45 and find, even at the lowest brightness setting in night mode that the screen is still pretty bright on unlit roads.

If you use the sat nav app called HERE you don't get charged for data or roaming as it works offline.

I have used it loads of times abroad and never had any issues, couple that with the 5.7 inch screen of my phone and it makes for a great free sat nav.

Phones are good Satnav sources till it's battery runs out or you need one hell of a charger for it. I got Oneplus One and my charger which is Tom Tom with fast charge port and original cable can't keep up. Also the phone heats up a lot.

I bought mine last year for 180 with 50 pounds cash back halfords

Thanks my go live traffic runs out next month, not a fan of the new ui on tomtom but don't really have a choice if I want to use HD traffic.
And I have the mobile version but don't like using phone as sat nav.

From experience, it certainly works in mainland Europe for sure and should work worldwide.

Oos on amazon at this price.
It's 204.99 on argos but the cashback logo isn't on the product even tho it's on other products.. *Should* have cashback on though as it's a 5100...

One of the questions and answers on the item confirms that Argos is a valid seller for the cashback, and you get a £10 voucher back too when spending over £100 so a good deal

Seems OOS on Argos including in store ?

I think all the retailers are getting new stock as I was looking at this a couple of days ago and everyone but Halfords was out of stock and Amazon had Warehouse deals only (not eligible for cashback).

I phoned Tom Tom to check on the cashback deal as Amazon say it expires in October yet the Tom Tom terms say it expired on August 24th 2016. Apparently all the retailers listed have increased the time frame of the cashback until October and Halfords will restart the cashback on 4th September which led me to believe stock was low everywhere and those with stock were putting the price back up!

It is indeed a discontinued model - Argos confirmed that to me. Shame the new models probably won't be in the cashback promo that now running until October 4th.
