The support from Tom Tom is awful, probably one of the the worst i have ever dealt with
I wouldn’t touch a tomtom product ever again absolute scammers bricking devices and offering 30% of a new one lifetime maps my @rse

Very tempting price, but shows as a 2016 model, so begs the question how long tomtom will offer to support the maps .....the “lifetime maps” is the life time that they dictate, so this may be nearing the end of the support cycle. Good price though if you need a stand alone unit

Same as the Essential 6 in hardware so likely to have updates for sometime yet. Personally prefer the 6200 as it's built in sim and available for a great price on Amazon warehouse.

I’m still getting updates for ‘lifetime maps’ from a 2013 (Go Live 1005 World) model which I was surprised about but also grateful for.
What's the need for this when a Google maps does the same job?
I got a email a few month ago to say my 725 wasn't getting anymore updates and that is about 10 years old

I have the 600 bluetooth & 6000 sim/wifi.
Had issues with the 600 doing the last map update via the pc and support took a few days to respond but then daily till sorted, it wouldn't put the map on the sd card.

Same question asked numerous times. Google maps doesnt work everywhere, so no comparison.
Good feedback folks and thanks for the heads up plugman.... I have gone for the 6" sim based one from the warehouse deal to give it a try.

I hope you are as lucky as me. The sat Nav was perfect no marks leads all new box a bit marked but that was it.

What was the condition of yours on Amazon Warehouse classed as? Used - Excellent or very good? Price you paid, if you don’t mind me asking?

Any 20% off discount codes currently kicking about for Amazon Warehouse?
Hi mine was used very good. Description was box and accessories may be damaged. The box had been opened but the accessories were unused and the sat Nav unmarked. I paid £120.59

You mean outside the UK?
There is one used like new for £132. 2 used very good item repackaged, 3 with small scratches on the back. So plenty in good condition if it’s not the condition they say it is either send it back or ask for a discount. They are all 2g but that is likely to be available in the UK for a long time yet.

Try driving around the lake district, many dead areas that will have you reaching for the map book and going old school.

Hi cheekster.

Used very good for £125 ish for the 6" sim version. Mixed reviews on reliability, but will give it a go as paying £30 a year for speed cam updates on a 4zero.

The ‘used - like new’ one is cheaper than this 620 model which is already über cheap! It is still being currently sold for £339.99 on the official TomTom site!

Worth that price alone if you currently pay for Speed Camera and Live Traffic subscriptions imo.

I nearly posted a deal here for both the 620 and 6200 after seeing the prices drop significantly a few days ago but after the frosty reception one of my previous TomTom Sat Nav deals got I decided not to!
Does anyone know if you can have more than one TomTom device with lifetime map updates associated with the same email and therefore TomTom account?

Also, can you deregister an older device from your account so that someone else can register it and continue getting lifetime map updates? Or, do TomTom only allow the original owner to receive the free lifetime map updates which then becomes void when switching ownership?

So far as I am aware you can deregister and still get lifetime updates for a new owner. Yes I believe you can have two sat navs registered to the one account. All of your addresses will be synced to both addresses.
To any current owner of a TomTom Go 6200, what case do you use? I’m after a slimline one (similar time the one I’ve been using for the past seven years for my existing TomTom but that only has a 5” display so will be no good for a 6200 which has a 6” display).

Spotted this Caison Premium Case - £11.99 on the Amazon product page which looks identical to my existing one and is far less bulkier and cheaper than the official TomTom hard cases imo.
I used the official TomTom case which is £13.99 on Amazon. Gives good protection.

You know you can download the google maps and then it works with no phone signal (off line). It does work everywhere.

May order both, the official TomTom and the Caison one, and return the one I don’t like. Previously, when I looked at original TomTom carry cases I’m sure they were far more expensive, ~£25 to £30. Amazon’s current price seems reasonable for a TomTom branded case.
It's also price matched in Halfords for the case. I believe it says it's a hard case it's not it's semi hard and gives great protection.

Received my TomTom Go 6200 and I think it’s going straight back!

It was described as “Used - Like New” box has been opened.

The back is covered is marks. Lots of white dust all over it. The inlay isn’t even for this 6” model because the device doesn’t fit inside it! The accessories look heavily used also. No manual or any type of documentation at all.

Very disappointed. Only the third item I’ve ever purchased from Amazon Warehouse, one
of the previous ones arrived brand new factory sealed and the other looked brand new inside the box although the box did have a number of large blank white labels plastered all over the box.

Don’t know whether to risk ordering another Used - Like New one?

God well that does sound bad I must admit my used very good could easily have passed for used like new. I think all the boxes would have opened though. So you have two choices complain and get a discount or reorder.
From your description sounds more used good.
What about saying to Amazon how disappointed you are in the product received it doesn't even come close to matching the description you would consider new but would like a discount. Maybe state it was a birthday present.
Send pictures if you have to.

That was the first thought I had when I removed the device from the box. I’d class it as ‘Used - acceptable’ although that is not what I ordered or want. Originally, I had a ‘Used - Very good’ in my basket as that was the first one listed when I clicked on Amazon Warehouse until you pointed out that there was one ‘Used - Like new’ available.

What accessories did yours include? Mine has a cigarette socket USB charger, a sync/charging cable and the window mount. No documentation at all.

Not sure how the insert from a 5” device managed to find its way into a 6200 box?

Yep full accessories and sealed manual. The windscreen mount had some white stuff on it but that wiped off. Everything looked new and unused.
