I have always liked the idea of having lanes indicated but for sure this is the better option than upgrading the maps on my current TomTom as it will cost me at least half this price to do that then down the line more. This way I will at least be covered.
I never liked TomTom but for those who do, this is actually a really attractive price. Hot.
I bought this only last week at the same price from PC World. So far it's OK not gone wrong.

No bluetooth. Saves having to wear an ear piece if the tomtom has it, I went for the Tomtom via 135 which was £9 more. Bigger screen and bluetooth. Good find anyway.
Excellent deal op. the pcworld one is only for western Europe.

Well I wouldn't say a lot more just to add Europe which I wouldn't use. I wouldn't take it back just for that. I would of done if it was a lot cheaper. Quidco Free delivery + 1.5% cashback.

Bigger than 5"?
2 hr battery life is a bit limiting. My current 910GO runs for 4.5hrs. I'm guessing this doesn't have computerized voice's either?
Hot Price.

It's almost £32 more? any advice on getting it for £109? Thanks
bluetooth would be nice for £9 extra?
just ordered, can always go back if rubbish but been looking to replace my 720 for a while
I've been thinking about ordering this, but have been put off by the redemption process for the lifetime maps.

The registration form on the Tom Tom website asks "TomTom device purchased?" and there is a pull down list of answers. The only option for this device applies only if bought from QVC or The Gadget Show Christmas.

The terms and conditions also make no mention of this model qualifying unless bought from QVC or The Gadget Show Christmas.

Got this for the same price last December from QVC with £5 from Topcashback.. Pleased with the device. An improvement on my old version and happy I don't have to pay to update my maps.

Unlike this offer, the WE edition bought from PC World is on the list on the Tom Tom website.

Strange that Amazon specifically say it is eligable but TomToms site only says if bought from QVC or Gadget Show so I am confused and wondering if to cancel.

In fact I have cancelled the order whilst I find out. TomToms site is very specific about what is included and I don't want to buy it and not be able to get the offer.

So confused as the T&C don't even list the TomTom WE from Currys etc yet their dropdown list says that qualifies as does Currys/PC World.

I take it back...amazon says that free updates are valid with this sat nav
Think i might just order the WE one from Currys as that one is listed for sure on the TomTom form.

Amazon say it is but TomTom say it's not so depends who you believe.
Not trying to sound rude, but who still buys sat navs? What is the advantage of this over smartphone turn-by-turn?
I don't trust or by tomtom any more since I got one of these with a Free map update voucher. Only for the voucher never to work and tomtom were unhelpful. Will never buy another tomtom again since theoretically speaking mine had outdated maps straight out of the box. Not to mention you can never do the same journey return since it fails to take you back.the same way... Pmsl be handy if.there was a save function to remember a full route your happy with. Cold from me

Not everyone has unlimited data on their smartphones, and should you run out of your data allowance mid journey...:|
Have just phoned TomTom and had it confirmed that the start with europe maps from Amazon is NOT covered

Someone who travels a bit and doesn't like losing the maps or directions when you're in the middle of a town you don't know when someone calls you. There will always be a place for standalone satnavs until every car comes with a system as standard.

Smartsphones are ok for the occasional use but for abroad unless you spend a lot on Tomtom or a similar app that downloads the entire maps to your phone then it can become incredibly expensive with data roaming charges.

Thanks for confirming. I will get the WE one from Currys instead.

For those saying "who buys sat navs now" I would far rather use this than my phones navigation. I have unlimited data but I wouldn't want to be out of coverage and lose signal half way through navigation.
Should this be expired?

At worst it should be edited now we have confirmation the offer of lifetime maps doesn't apply to this purchase.
The currys website says this:

"Keeping you up to date

The Start.25 also comes with the latest map guaranteed, so if there is an updated map when you buy your sat nav, you can download it free of charge."

Is there a difference between lifetime maps and latest map guarantee?
