yeah i noticed that postage was applicable and added to the title Thanks

thanks

thanks

TopCashBack too - and voucher code worked for me! Will mean not needing to borrow the folks uptodate TomTom instead of our 5 year out of date Garmin i3 when exploring entirely new areas (Garmin want almost this much just to get modern maps!) Nice one OP!

Just a tip for anyone else ordering: the process ends with an order summary with invoice to & ship to details. I noticed that the summary had my STREET but NOT my house number. So had visions of UPS wandering aimlessly. I used their online support chat feature to confirm that it is a PRESENTATION bug, not a data omission - apparently their system being Dutch, they put house numbers at the end not the start, and they DO have the correct data (as long as you input it of course!). Hope that helps others puzzled by the omission

something more to it....check this out peeps,....

tomtom.com/en_…ed/

add it for £4.99 and you'd see the delivery charge of £2.95 waived off...

thus making this leather case for £2.04.....

so total would be £54.98 with the leather case....
heat added !!!!!

is this model any good? its the small one isn't it. whats the normal selling price for this model, does anyone know?

£90 on amazon - reviews a bit hit and miss
which absolutely slates it = 49%
i was very nearly tempted but reckon i might hold out for something slightly better

I ordered it a month or so ago and im very pleased with it, the built in mount for it is so sturdy and far better than the old style just suction cups, it also pivots really well so you can get it tucked nicely away in the corner of ur windscreen if you want. Personally i am really pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone especially at this price, i only needed it for a little run around as im not that fussed about bigger screens etc, it does the job and does it really well for me

As for price as new, there have been deals on here where its croppedup for about £70 but the going rate seems to be about £90 so quite a big saving.

well, this one is not bad at all.... ma mates got it and works fine.... but i picked this one from currys...

currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

£129.99 + 31.99 = £161.98 for 3 years replacement warranty.... (anything happens, they'd give u an instant replancement....

so thats like 161 / 3(years) = £53.99....say £54 quids..... thats for one year....so its not bad at all....since u get a bigger screen... 4.3 inch and you get European Maps....

and the best part if u got a mate working for pc world or currys, an extra 10% discount.....wihch mean £16 quids less....

what say peeps ?

i've gone for it
added the mounting disks for £5 as didn't fance the case
case is £3 on fleabay if any one is interested

Ordered and voted hot.

thats fine mate...anything under 5 quids take waive the delivery chrgs....so cant complain ...

these discs look good but will they be stuck on the dash board or are they removed each time? are theyy glued down i mean, i wouldn't want that disc permanently on my dash you see.

Could I buy/add European maps to this in future?

An extra tip is to use FIREFOX browser with the TomTom website.

On the SUPPORT page it then has a big area/button at top right "Need Advice? Chat with Support" which opens an online chat window where one of their UK Support representatives gets to you (within 30 seconds or so) and answers your questions ... and then emails you a transcript so you have evidence of who said what to who!

Ordered 4 from the refurb site and they've all been excellent.

Had a traumatic journey home from Wales without the reassuring guidance of a satnav, when my 6 year old TomTom gave up the ghost recently, ... so thanks OP I am ordering this as a spare to go with the Garmin I ordered a couple of days ago.

i agree, i once went to leicester from leeds which only took me an hour. Once there it took us over an hour and a half to find our hotel! We were completly lost and i have no sense of direction. We drove around so much and wasted so much fuel, to make it worse it must have been the hottest day of the year and i was driving my mazda RX-8 which does about 15mpg without the air con on. All in all it was a disaster, and the first thing i did when i got home was order a tomtom.

Over the years it has saved me so much time and money in wasted miles that to me its worth its weight in gold! Sat nav's really are one of the best devices in the world.
