TomTom's patented mapping and routing intelligence is at the core of the TomTom App. TomTom is known the world over for the accuracy and extensive coverage of its maps. TomTom maps have been rated highest in terms of quality and reliability. No mobile signal or data plan is required to browse your map and navigate to your destination. And, only TomTom offers IQ Routes, which evaluates routes based on actual traffic speeds rather than posted speed limits, and recommends the fastest route based on the time of the day.

The TomTom App takes advantage of iPhone features and functionality to make navigation even easier. You can see maps and routes easier with iPhone 4 Retina Display support, navigate to your destination easier by selecting contacts straight from your address book or photos from your photo gallery, and take hands-free calls easier while navigating with the App's multitasking capabilities.

-19° I guess a lot of iPhone haters out there it's a sad thing really.

I thought copilot was supposed to be better?

Why do you guess that? Try guessing that there are better products out there for cheaper.

As posted CoPilot is better in every way including price.

I thought copilot was supposed to be better?

Well you thought wrong, I have copilot tom-tom and navigon on my ip4, tt is by far the best of the bunch even more so after the 1.6 update Inc new maps and mapshare, it's always bang on the money, navigon comes second and copilot last due to it's wild directions at times but it's ok for the money

Err no Tom Tom is the best of the lot , just flipping expensive

I've got this and pretty disappointed. On a standard 3GS without the additional bracket it loses itself even with decent signal - just starts spinning around a bit when you come to a stop.
There's regular updates, but they're HUGE, which seems a bit lazy of TomTom as I guess you get a full install or map and not just changes.

I'd read a few reviews, but definitely not as good as my standard TomTom One I've had for years, and other people I know say the same. I'd have bought the mount with GPS inside it, but they priced it way over the top of what it should have been. Check the alternatives.

got tom and co pilot both scrap and i have scenic with built in tom tom prefer to get lost

I have both and CoPilot is rubbish in comparison, but for its asking price its worth a punt for a cheap navigation tool.

TomTom has never been an issue for me, only once had signal issues and an illegal turn it wanted me to make one time!

Agreed - the reviewers that say co-pilot is better obviously don't have both. I bought co-pilot first, and bought TomTom two weeks later after being sent on ridiculous routes through London. I have never had a problem with TomTom. You will definitely need to budget for the bracket though, whichever one you buy. It works with all the satnav apps.

Excellent App - but still a bit too pricy. They should have a special £19.99 offer then everyone will get it.

I'll stick to the cracked one for now
