Check prices:-
satnav-discounts.co.uk/tom…htm

Rest are still as pre-order

Deal or no deal?....no deal!

A whole 75p cheaper than Dabs & BT.

Bargain of the Century - What's that, about 0.28% ? People have the nerve to criticise 2p off a tin of beans as a no deal! :whistling:

Seems like this new range is going to be a breathtaking non-event at those prices, with TomTom's future plans involving lots of profits from subscriptions :-(

might not be cheap but this is an awesome product if you spend a lot if time in the car. will also find you the cheapest petrol around and keep you out of traffic jams.

It probably is, but like all leading edge technology it is always sold at a premium price, when almost all of the same info is available for free via phone or PDA when on the road, without paying subscriptions too, merely GPRS data cost, which is going to be a cost even if you do buy one of these TomTom models.

55 quid and a bit of know how gets you onto TomTom navigator 7, on a Navigo from eBuyer, and I barely know anyone who hasn't got a phone capable of running a browser for the extra info, which most people won't use very often anyway. Prices will drop in any case as the novelty wears off and other manufacturers have competing products, then something more like a bargain will start to appear, as availability increases and retailers compete too.

Great gadgets, but still very much a toy for the boys who have to have the very latest gadget, and not any sort of bargain, yet.

Thought this wasn't on sale until ]friday!

I would stay well clear of this for this now. They released it way to close to the last TomTom GO range :x Imagine shelling out £300 for the latest satnav and they go and release this in the same year.

On a brighter note I bet their will be loads of deals for the GO 530, 730 and 930 because of this launch.
