great find, ordered one

Very hot.

Out of stock for delivery and collection.

damn i could of done with a new one as my tomtom720 battery is near dead, the maps are out of date, and the suction mount is broken. I work out it'll be cheaper to buy a new one with warranty...

I have to say I got one of these last year to replace a 520.

Frankly I hate it, it's nearly gone out of the window several times (not by accident but the mount has failed a few times too). I think the Live & IQ is just too much for the hardware. It's painfully numb to use when entering routes, if you were to try and enter something while driving it would be painfully difficult (therefore dangerous) as the screen is so unresponsive. It also seems to be very slow calculating a route, when your heading out of a car park in france and need to know which way to head and its still calculating. Battery life is hopeless (again Live related i think). Google search is pretty hopeless too.

I also have to say the routing at times is hopeless, it will happily take you on a 10 mile loop to somewhere 3 miles away on a roads (I know that isnt the hardwares fault)

The new mount design is crap compared to the 520, I have a plastic disc on the dash which the 520 was fine on, this one just wont stick to it as the suction cup is too shallow. I have to mount it on a side window and the thing is then at 45 degrees.

Oh and mine crashes quite a lot, resets to the black screen. Updated & reinstalled from blank according to TomTom support instructions but no luck, again tends to do it shortly after startup just when you enter a route so you have to wait for it to reboot and do it again.

So, good price but I wouldn't touch another as the thing does my head in. Get the model up or frankly ditch tomtom and go elsewhere for me I think.

I've a Go Live 1005 and the only time it slips pace is occasionally when going around roundabouts. I think you get what you pay for in this field.
