No that only occurs on European maps as far as I'm aware

Just tried to order says they don't have enough:-(

My order went through just now! Sat nav and face cloth to be collected Wednesday :-)

My girlfriend has this and even in French it is easy to use (I say French, my girlfriend is you guessed it, French) good buy I would recommend

Mine went through too, does any one know if this has speed camreas .

I don't think it will come installed with speed cameras.

Once you connect to your PC with the TomTom Home software you can download the speed camera database onto it for £20.

If anyone wants it cheaper than this, TomTom are selling similar (but not XXL) refurbs for £51.00 with code "Welcome123b" :-

mobiles.justbdo the trick if you tel ravel once a month or every day

I use the Waze app, a community based satnav system. Includes most, if not all speed cameras; users can update live traffic info as well....and it's free

Yep waze is one to consider if you already have a smartphone (its free) and seems to be the best one out there. Google now use its features/updates on there maps. But still as a actual gps unit/price voted hot.

Nice deal!

If you drive at the speedlimit your comment need not apply ;-)

Wonder when the European satnav system galileo satellite GNSS will come out and replace GPS. Will satnavs use both? Who knows.

Plenty of smartphones are capable of using GPS and GLONASS, So the answer is yes they will be able to use any new satellite positioning system. Galileo is due to be operational in 2020.

iirc, this is USB1. I have a relative who has one. Not only did we have to delete a whole load to stuff just to load the latest map (it had full european maps), it also took about about 2 hours to copy over the new one after 2 hours of backing up the device just in case.... however, for £65, you can't go too wrong.

It's also not a linux FS, but fat32, which makes upgrading it far easier.

I have this bought it new a few years ago and it is excellent never needed to delete mas or anything to update it.

Sign up to pocketgpsworld.com/ and for less than £20 a year you get downloadable speed camera locations updated weekly for any satnav system..
Ive been with them for 5 years and worth every penny

PocketGPSWorld are sellouts. The community generated and developed that database before they started charging for it. Ages ago now like, but it still annoys me.

Just tried this and it said deal no longer valid

code didnt work sorry
might look at refurb from tomtom

That's cos it expired at midnight...

Purchased the refurbish one from tom tom at 51gbp as per above comment. excellent. Was looking for Europe one but thought how much driving do I really do in Europe to justifying extra cost.
Any thoughts?

Anyone got a new code?

The 5" XXL is more pleasant to use than the 4.3" XL model IMO
