Can anyone recommend a decent dual fan to keep the Temperatures down on this for a 3b+ ?

No problem. The Pi 3b+ will emulate multiple systems so can swap from md to SNES to Ps1 to N64 at will. Struggles with anything much past ps1 though.

Thank you, I'll do some research and try find n64 one (y)

This is just a case, you need the pi to go in it. But yes, it is possible to play roms (that you legally own of course) through a raspberry pi using retropie. There are plenty of tutorials out there.

Shock mount is cheap crap plastic, broke right away.

Yes, price increased to £26.23 can be bought cheaper on eBay now

Yeah, I clicked to buy at £14.99, but when the receipt has come, I've been charged £26.23 :(

Says £26.23 now when I click on the link.

Had 2 of these. The mount is stupidly weak and doesn't take much for them to break. Awesome mic for Canon cameras as they have quieter pre-amps than most other cameras and awesome sound for the price The only issue in sound quality I've had is wind. Even with the dead kitty over it the changing air pressure seems to make it pop at the lower frequencies whereas the Rode doesn't suffer the same problem.

I do like these... Xiaomi at it again with the lighting products. Seems a well rounded bit of kit for the asking price. It changes colours and temp as well, via the app. There's a … Read more

Yes. The Yeelight app. Not a Xiaomi app. Yeelight products are made by Qingdao Yeelink Information Technology Co., Ltd. Xiaomi are an investor, an incubator. They give them money and a platform. The same deal with the dash cams people always wrongly attribute to Xiaomi, and any product branded 'Mijia'. Those products are not made by Xiaomi. Mijia is a crowdfunding platform ran by Xiaomi - though slight caveat in that Xiaomi do also use it to test their own products from time-to-time.

AliExpress also advertise this light as a Xiaomi Yeelight product, and it is controlled using the Yeelight app...

Xiaomi, just give us GU10s. That is all.

Nope. Not made by Xiaomi. Not designed by Xiaomi. Xiaomi are just an investor. This is as much a Xiaomi device as Airbnb is an Ashton Kutcher website.

Ordered, delivered, pi and script installed, very impressed

How do I backup my SD card? I’ve got a Mac. Also, someone kindly linked a YouTube video a little earlier in post to show the github tutorial for the safe switch. If I can get it working fine, it’s gonna be such a nice addition to under the TV. I’ve got emulation station running, is that ok?

Yes and no, if its already set up with retropie then yes its a case of putting it in then off you go...just a few screws and a fan if you want. If you want to use the safe shut down then you have to install a script from github but the instructions for this are easily found online and its one line of command in the terminal to do it. If its a fresh install of retropie and you have not done it before then it may take you a few hours to format, flash and transfer all your legally (lol) acquired roms

I can speak from experience regarding the SD card - forgot to take out my brand new card when putting my MegaPi case together... snap. Oh well!

These cases are such high quality. I have 3. You can't buy anything better and they are so cheap when on sale like this.

KOJAK maybe but not Kodak, gotta be a fake, it's the wrong font, they haven't used that style of uppercase letters in decades and even then the spacing and font is wrong. Decent fakes get these details right, which is a bad thing, but bad fakes just need a good slap in the face for sheer laziness.

After reading all of the positive feedback above i might go for one (highfive)

not a Kodak - the "real" Kodak are just about surviving

100% fake

Indeed. Likewise. Ebay have legacy systems for 4 figures.

Fair point, I'd like one too! Much deeper pockets are required unfortunately.

I was more so inferring the device that enables precision fabrication of metals rather than plastics.

A 3D printer is a CNC machine.

I have an A2 from Anet (more rigid than A8 all aluminium) but it is only half decent. I am in the process of building a Core XY hypercube that will cannibalize the A2. If you want to learn by solving problems ( best way to learn) then buy A8. But if you want a solid printer, then spend around 600quid to get something proper. Not voting either way but this deal is good value for money if you want to go down the same path as myself.

Reasonably common occurences of this brand on HUKD

looks a little like the black view a30 I got the lad for a school phone. That one was £50 delivered and that came with 8.1 and 16gb ram however it was expandable and it added it as a total rather than 16+16 , the phone now reports 32gb like its set it up as a RAID system.

cpu is a 2017 release meant for low end smart phones, so the money is about right; however it is a no-name company. Even I have never heard of them, and I regularly cruise the Chinese tech markets when I am out there. If money is that tight, might be better off spending an extra £5 and buying a budget Xiaomi (6a) via AliExpress; at least you know they will support the phone with regular software updates and security fixes.

Can't fault that for the price!

Hi, Would you share instructions on how to hard wire as it doesn`t mention it in the insctructions but the back plate seems to have the facility to do so. thanks

I've ordered from Amazon,so will just return/refund if it's not reliable, which I'm guessing it's not as my router is at back/upstairs of house :/

I placed a BT Whole Home Wifi disc about 5 feet away from it by the front window of the floor above (albeit there's a wall/window in between) so the wifi signal should be decent enough. I used the screw terminals on the back. Wish I hadn't wasted the money on the batteries.

£41.92 black colour when added to basket price goes up to £41.92 EXPIRED DEAL

Probably depends how far away from router that dictates the connectivity to WiFi! Did you hardwire into the two small anchor screw terminals or use the mirco USB power point?

Mine never worked, dead on arrival. Complained through Paypal and they want me to return it to China, registered post, from my own pocket. Their own customer service is dreadful, requesting detailed youtube videos with the fault 'so that their technicians can advise'. Avoid this company, I've dealt with many Chinese websites in the past but this is surely the worst.

low quality, heats up and when usb c port is powered through the hub, doesn't charge battery.

Mine arrived but can't test till Monday. My mac is at work

I think it just means you can control the lights via Wifi and you dont need to disconnect. Stay connected to wifi, open the app and control it. Or get her an echo dot to do voice commands? See video here

Sorry, I don't mean set up. I will set it up for her no probs. I was concerned that turning the lights on/off would be too fiddly for her if she has to disconnect from the home WiFi and connect to these lights every time. What do you think?
