Have a look at the video in the OP's link & ask yourself how long a few flashing lights will entertain the kids. Then ask yourself why they don't show the main selling point which is supposedly:

Once you are finished drawing on your Lumisketcher, use the wipe clean … Once you are finished drawing on your Lumisketcher, use the wipe clean eraser so you can start all over again.

The reason they don't show it is because it actually means:

Once you are finished drawing on your Lumisketcher, use the manky piece of cloth wrapped around a block of polystyrene to smear the horrible, scratchy, supposedly erasable pen all round the board in a vain attempt to clean it.

My missus bought one Christmas '07 thinking it was a magnetic type that erases with a slider like the ]Megasketcher. It was used once before being consigned to the back of the cupboard.

Dont be fooled by the shrek on Amazon, i ordered one for my little boys storytime theatre and it isnt even for this. It's just a book which happens to be called 'storytime theatre', make sure the storytime theatre books have 'tomy' in the title, then you know your getting the right ones.

great price. but a load of rubbish. children draw a lovely pic and get their hand covered in pen. they see their pic flash and get bored. you then spend the next 20 mins clearing the pen off the board and a further 5 mins off the kids

Totally agree!!

I have to agree
I found kitchen towel works best - it is hard work and a pain to remove tho
Not something the kids can get on with by themselves

Yes rubish.... go for the ]Megasketcher no mess easy to wipe lasts for years.

My Little one had one of these IMHO a waste of time, ended up in the skip. Once the pens ran out I had problems getting more that worked and I also agree with other comments. Looks like a great deal but it is`nt

I would go for a megasketcher too, I'm sure Amazon have some Peppa pig and Night garden ones on offer... I'll go look

Thanks guys. Was about to buy but didnt. Rep given to all.

Ok folks, thats that then, Thank to everyone for the posts ,and  for a few quid saved
