Bought these for my nephew a few months back & he loves them
My children loved these
Bought these for my daughter at 6 months. Now at a year old, she picks up other toys and puts them down but as soon as these come out her little face lights up.
Just ordered, Thank you
Brought a tear to my eye that one. My daughter is now 16 but it took me right back. This is a fantastic toy for a child, if in doubt, just buy it.
Spend the money on a good wooden toy.

We bought these 25 years ago for my daughter. As my wife is a childminder, they have been played with ever since, and all our children love them. A wooden toy would have worn out long, long ago.

Is that what slowed your own development?

Sure, using the terms "wood toy" on Amazon seems to provide the best results, you should try it if you seek the answer, but here are a few with a similar cost:

Melissa & Doug Rainbow Stacker Classic Toy (Developmental Toys, Superior Craftsmanship, 8 Smooth Rings, Solid Wood Base) amazon.co.uk/dp/…CC6

Galt Toys Classic Pop-Up Toy, Multi-Coloured amazon.co.uk/dp/…BZ2

Melissa & Doug Shape Sorting Cube Classic Wooden Toy (Developmental Toy, Easy-to-Grip Shapes, Sturdy Wooden Construction, 12 Pieces) amazon.co.uk/dp/…PAV

Or, just carry on with buying unsustainable tat.

Searching "wood toy" also brings up countless pieces of tat with paint that comes off on kids' hands plastered on rough hewn chunks of wood -- Amazon's standards are non-existent.

The other problem is that none of your links are for the same age range as these plastic eggs. The eggs are for 6+, and would be fine for my 1 month old baby. They're light, they're not gonna harm them in any way, and they don't require much interaction to be fun.
A 6 month old isn't gonna have much interest in a single Tower of Hanoi...

I'm interested in finding some wooden toys, mostly because the plastic stuff tends to be limited interaction rubbish with pointless electronics. These eggs seem pretty decent. Most of the wooden stuff i've seen is absurdly expensive for what it is.
And as for unsustainable: yes, Attenborough did his Blue Planet thing, but is painted wood really that much more environmentally friendly? Especially glued plywood. Mmm formaldehyde...

I hope there’s not one piece of plastic in your house/life then. I hope everything you own is made of a sustainable material. And I’d also like to think that you’re never planning on buying anything made from an unsustainable material ever again.

Thank you for making us all aware of what awful people we are!

Indeed. I have two children under 4 so it pays to be a little childish. I’m not sure if your pompous attitude is much better to be fair though?
I'm going to sabotage one of these and put an egg effigy of Thunberg in it, when you open the box, the Thunberg egg chorus, says "your parents bought you this and stole your future the consumerist wh^&s!"

I'm not sure this is educational either, because no one wants to open a box of eggs from the supermarket and they hatch out, you'd definitely take that back to store.

Best child's toy ever
These are really good. Bought them when our daughter was 6 months old or so and still occasionally plays with them to this day (3.5 now)
