This is is an excellent list of free days out in Yorkshire complied by Yorkshire Best Adventures not myself.

I thought it might be useful for the school holidays as most are child friendly.

It is worth noting car parking charges may apply to some attractions like Bolton Abbey and Yorkshire sculpture park.

Thanks.

Worth pointing out that the museums in Hull are all free as well.

You can do them in Autumn too but you might need a coat.

Thanks OP

"33. None Go By Farm, Horsforth" - this one is great for the kids if you live nearby.

Good list but lots of these aren't totally free, Bolton Abbey is £10 to park however long you stay!

Brilliant

the national coal mining museum is awesome, Id definitely recommend if you havent been. They seem to have invested quite a lot in it recently as well so if you went a while ago its well worth a revisit.

An underground tour of the coal mine is technically free but you have to pay a £3 deposit for a brass token and then reclaim the £3 if you dont want to keep the token.

I would avoid None Go Bye Farm unless you want to look at dead fish floating at the edge of the overstocked commercial fishing ponds. It's not exactly the best day out in Yorkshire.

Bolton Abbey has gone up then it was £8 last year.

I think that's a bit expensive now.

I thought they were pushing at £8. It's not fair if you only want a quick walk

Shame cos it's really lovely there, we'd go more often if wasn't for the rip off parking.

Nice spot op

room on the broom adventure trail

http://ww…oom

Free parking, free walk around the lake and room on the broom trail.

Excellent on a dry day.
You follow the trail, find sculptures, look for animal footprints, The trail is a circular route around the lake and is accessible by foot, cycle, buggy or wheelchair.
