Out of all the inexpensive socket sets I’ve seen, this has got to be among if not the best in terms of the socket and bit sizes included that are actually useful. To be more specific, it doesn’t include any imperial sizes and instead a better range of metric, and the bits are 1/4" sq. drive, so no need for a bit adapter. Also goes up to 14mm which is fairly common in cars, where most kits top out at 13mm.

I don’t need this bit of kit at all – I already have way too many such tools, but I am really curious on the quality given the price and generous variety of socket and bit sizes.

    Ordered! Will report back.

    Update edit!

On first impressions and having a quick play, for the price I’m impressed.

It’s like the quality of the usual £12 supermarket socket sets, but you get loads more useful stuff like a good range of sockets/bits and extensions for much less money.

The socket driver has a 1/4" socket on the back, which is brilliant, most similarly priced kits don’t have this.

The ratchet and sockets are pretty much the same in terms of quality and construction as the supermarket kits, as such there’s a bit of slop in the sockets so I’d advise caution with reticent smaller hex heads which could end being rounded. The ratchet handle is made of that soft-grippy-rubber stuff, this will end up being all gummy and sticky after a few greasy jobs.

The bits are a little on soft side but not cheese-grade like some cheap supermarket kits, I can make out markings on some which indicate they’re made from S2 steel, so that’s nice.

An exceptional buy for the price. (edited)

I can also confirm this, had this set got 2 years and I've absolutely used it to death, such a great little kit, I'm actually going to buy 2 more as spares

    Thx OP
If you do or need to do DIY on anything light whether you're a Pro or twice a year fixer. This is a must.

Lost count of the times used this, have a similar one for over 6 yrs and Yes the rachet has finally failed but when you need to undertake a small light job even somewhat inaccessible or require one small size socket a different connection or extensions, flex, step up then you can't be without this box of tricks.

It's worth the cost alone in the time you go looking for or buying something you need extra which is already in this box.

This is a decent deal, this is the same set that Aldi and Lidl sell for about £14.
It's not Halfords Pro quality but it's a very useful set for DIY or keeping in the boot of the car.
I have loads of socket sets and this one with the useful screwdriver handle and socket screwdriver bits is the one that gets most used.
Just don't expect this to be able to do any car repairs beyond the lightest tasks. (edited)

    Anyone has tried them?
Most of the time own brand (or unbranded) at this price is simple rubbish.
    Any experience?

Bought a similar set off of eBay about 7 years ago, unbranded and has been great , so taken the gamble on this set

Great these I bought one of eBay for around the same price in a red case, looks like the bits are exactly the same and it's fabulous tbh it's helped me out a lot

Granted they're not the most robust tools in the world but use them with a bit a common sense in the right applications and they're brilliant, I can only imagine this to be of the same quality or even better so my intuition tells me this is a fabulous deal and if you can get your hands on one they're worth every penny

I bought it a couple of months ago. Only can be used for very small tasks. The extension bit broke on first use it's cheap and feels cheap.

If nothing else, it's got a 10mm In the box and let's face it, you're gonna need that for the missing one you've lost anyway!!! So anything else is a bonus.
